for $0.97+S/H.
This comes with both a SATA connector for harddrives along with a USB 3.0
PCI card.
The specs say this adapter is only for seagate freeagent drives, but a
review says this has worked for other internal drives as well.
For a PCI card for USB 3.0 along with a SATA (or is it esata? I don't know
these things) connector for less than $5 shipped, I think this is a pretty
good deal.

发帖数: 81 | 36 现在硬盘的可靠性都差不多，无论是seagate，WD，还是Hitachi的，但总有一些用几个
月或１－２年就坏的。要想用的时间长，给硬盘加风扇是个不错的办法，就是在硬盘部
分的机箱装两个风扇。我的几块硬盘，最老的一块是１２０G的，WD的，已经１２年了
，还是用来下载东西的那个。其他几块都是５００（一块WD一快Maxtor）或６４０G（
WD的，做系统盘），也都５－６年了，现在用的好好的。也用过一块seagate的６４０G
的，不到一个月就了。 |

上面那个链接的seagate data recovery服务。
seagate旗下的i365解决这个问题。
你打电话怎么解决的，换了个硬盘？ |

发帖数: 210 | 38 I just had the same problem, and called Seagate support (their line is pretty hard to get through, called many
times), and seagate guy give me a case number and forward me to the i356 guy for instruction of sending the
bad drive to i365 lab. Everything seems free so far and they already acknowledged that my drive was due to
the firmware issue and promise to fix in the next few days. Will see what comes back.
One thing I am not sure is whether they can still replace my old harddrive with a bett |

your luck again. i believe support
reps know how to set up, and forward the case to i365 (so i365 won't charge
you). only thing that i can think
of is to mention the BSY firmware error...
btw, got my hard drive back, luckily everything is still there. i365 did
backup my files for 14 days to be safe,
not much a concern for myself.
bought another wd drive for backup, can't trust seagate alone. |

loud clicking. I knew it would fail definitely so I returned it the next
day for an exchange item from officemax.
I received the exchanged one yesterday and let it copy my data overnight.
This morning I heard the loud clicking twice, each lasting for about 3-4
seconds.
I don't know if it will click again and if I need to return it for refund
at this time.
长篇抱怨贴在此，看来这个系列的硬盘问题大大：

2-3 months new seagate external 1.5TB hard drive (7200.11) dropped from 2
feet high place carpet while it was being used. I took it out of the
enclosure but i cannot get the data back. Can I assembly the external hard drive and then still send it back to Seagate for repair/replacement or something else?
would opening enclosure void warranty for external hard drive?
I did leave some visible marks on the enclosure case while I was opening the enclosure with a knife. |

可能是因为Seagate太安静了,用了两块WD Carvia BLK 640G(因为错信了蛋蛋
的review), 太吵(比三爽的噪音还大), 卖了.
同志们继续挺WD, 我还是继续用SG. |
