最好把term改成“as is”sales,不要在section one上放东西，省得给自己找麻烦，如
seller不同意修，你就得花钱修好银行才放款，这样就把自己拴在这房子上了。
三千多块还OK，不过最好是修了,section one的一般比较critical。 |

城市就是不一样，一进市区堵的完全没脾气。好不容易到了hotel,赶紧check-in。然后
直奔网球中心。
USTA Section周四的大爬梯组织的很是不错。一人一件Sectional Champion T-shirt，
先满足下大家的虚荣心. 爬梯还提供BBQ晚餐+Ice cream。然后是队长开会，结果一下
子坐了60多人。我心里就想能有这么多队？开会自然是很无聊的，大家都吃饱了，又喝
着啤酒。昏昏沉沉的搞了快1小时，我都不记得她说啥了。 |

S队playoff出线后，队长开始统计谁能打sectional。结果发现两个双打主力都上不了
。算下来能 打sectional就10个人了，这还是算上两个70几和60几岁的。
备战
由于只有几周时间准备sectional，我捉摸着就平时普通练习不可能有啥特别提高。这
就要动些脑筋了。有啥速成的又好用的九阴白骨爪呢？想来想去无非是 两招：月亮加
削球。这两招好处 以后会详细介绍。其实这两招我平时从来没练过，只是比赛时有时
会用而已。这几周每周一次专门用发球机练习这两招。这两招的关键是在对手大角度拉
开的情况下也能打出很深的月亮和削球，否则就会很被动。 |

看到一对亚裔，相当运动，移动超好，发球超猛
对面一堆白老头，相当胖，力量超级足
打来打去咋看都是那对亚裔占优，看了一个set，比分那个胶着啊，呵呵
最后好像一对亚裔险胜，还不知道最后结果我走了

周六，对阵Ash队。由于SP在早些时候4-1大胜了Ash。这样我们即使1-4输也能出线进决
赛。所以，我就和Anand打#3doubles，保存体力准备周日的决赛。结果对手由于输了1-
4输了第一场，急于找回点面子。就把他们#1double放到了#3，正好对我们。第一盘，
由于我还是没从单打的思路转变成双打，上网不够主动。结果第一盘3-6。这时旁边的#
1doubles赢了。这样我们就已经确定出线了，心情轻松了网前就开始更活跃了。第二盘
6-3。又是抢10，这时有了胜负心就又保守了，7-5领先下，连续失误加上个运气球8-10
输了。
周日决赛！赛前开会的决定是争取1单2双。又根据对手单打情况，我打#2single.比赛9

对每个公司 i，Y(t)=alpha+beta*Y(t-1)+e。 (Y是相当于股票价格之类
的东西)
要求得到beta 对每个 i: beta(i)
第二步：是一个cross-sectional 的
对所有的公司 S(i)=gamma+eta*beta(i)+e'
要求得到ETA
我现在就是用最最简单的OLS把两步算了一下。但是，看到文献中说TIME-SERIES应该
考虑autocorrelation, cross-sectional应该考虑heteroscedasticity |

that you put on the cover page just a SUGGESTION. I can also tell you that
switching review section is usually a bad idea, because the point of view
could be different and you could potentially get a whole different responses
even you followed previous reviewers' suggestions. |

just like you submit your paper to Nature, you got three comments back.

见项目就杀, 不管有没有读, 就给低分--自己拿不到,别人也别拿.对分慷慨的, 大多是
资深的(过了这个坎),有很多房顶的,当医生的;或者在医学院搞研究的,深感研究生活不
易的.最恶心的,就是那些搞电脑,数学的,水平半斤八两的(不知道咋混进Panel的).最近
一项目被一烙印阿三哥, 咖哩妹所害. 大家吐槽一下, 列一下有那些变态Study
Section/Panel, 对同胞后辈有所帮助--尽量避免投. |

R01(当然也有例外），然后你拿到的R01所审的那个Study section有可能邀请你作 ad
hoc reviewer.
所以这实际上成了一个鸡生蛋还是蛋生鸡的问题：为了拿到grant，你最好有做
reviewer的机会，但你得先拿到grant,人家才认为你qualify as a reviewer. |

Section 8 has stringent rules for both tenants and landlord, don't try to
play the system, bring the proposal to the county Section 8 mgnt office and
ask for their opinion and tell the truth, you will need their endorsement in
the end anyway because you need their part of the payment. |

have plenty of time to harass you. The government will inspect you house
every year. You cannot ask them to move out if you do not like them later.
Be very careful when someone says they are section 8. You should NEVER say
you do not rent to section 8. You would be sued if you do. You have to
treat them as regular applicant. Use your intelligence to reject them
QUIETLY. |
