说，却是个很大的数目了。
情况比较复杂，大致如下：

房子的租期是今年6月1日到8月1日，短租的暑假，租金750每月，security deposit同
样的数目。与其他两名室友合租。
8月1日查房的时候房东发现她的granite counter top有一块变色了，很不高兴，想把
整块counter top换了，说要扣留我们的security deposit，会找公司报价之后再联系
我们。她说肯定是我们把烫的锅子直接放在台子上造成的。我们一直不承认。因为那一
块地方是放的调料，从来没有放过锅子。而且granite就是因为抗高温的特点，才卖的
比较贵的。
她说换变色的部分counter top不会太多，也就几百块。
我们当时就觉得，几百块对她来说不多，对我们来说太多了，就据理力争。
首先，变色的原因不明，如果是因为烫坏了，那就根本不是我们，如果是其他原因，倒
有可能；
第二，我们不能确定在我们来之前是不是已经变色了。她说我没有在入住查房的时候写

思到底是要在入住的时候缴纳3个月的房租还是2个月的房租呢？
三个月的房租的意思是：一个月的SECURITY DEPOSIT，这个最后看物品损坏状况退
，一个月作为这个月的房租，一个月预存下个月的房租．
而我认为只要交2个月的房租就OK了，每个月按期缴纳这个月的，然后SECURITY
DEPOSIT的理解和房东是一样，就是到最后那个月看一下物品没有损坏就抵最后一个月
的房租或者退还都可以．
到底是哪种理解正确啊？请教专业一点的意见，谢谢大家！：） |

Security Deposit. 后来有朋友提醒我，这个 Security Deposit 不能随便写，因为
首先这笔钱必须在银行专门开户存放，而且还要填写专门的法律表格， 否则房客可以
因为你要的 Security Deposit 不规范告你。

engineer/analyst position. 80%都是要citizen, security clearance; 另外20%很多
要industry experience 和各类证书比如cissp。没管反正看着边都投了，唉，但是几
十个简历出去都犹如石沉大海。resume post在monster, dice, 只收到几个没谱的什么
insurance agent, sales agent的工作职位。真是没办法。猎头也试了几个（感谢版上
某人），但是一听是fresh out of school都觉得比较难。 有没有谁的公司是做这个方
向的或者知道有这方面职位。能不能帮我介绍一下。哪怕告诉我哪些公司招entry-
level也行。非常感谢~~~ |

剩下的security就是按照topic去搜一下资料了吧 貌似没见到有系统讲这些的书啊 知
道的一本是Hacking Exposed 不过我是没仔细看过 所以不知道好不好。。。
缓冲区溢出 跨站 注入 缓存毒害 各种协议的init以及漏洞(SSL, etc) 私钥加密公钥
加密 Public key exchange, DH Key exchange, secure Hash, CA的相关概念 数字签
名 理论的包括crypto indistinguishability 点点点。。。
大概记得的大topic就是这么些。。 |

有等security check release之后才能adjusdicate。security check不能waive也不能
加急。请问有没有好心人有类似经历，一般要等多久？我的OPT开始时间写的10月7号，
如果真的超过90天的话拿到卡也是过期了。因为OPT的事工作也怕保不住了，担心又难

security是相关的，很多principle是一样的，但是我也觉得我没能入得了CS security
的门。求推荐几本书我能赶紧恶补一下下～～～
我是EE的phd，做的都是privacy 相关的一些，但是从EE的出发点跟CS不太一样。CS用
的differential privacy做metric，因为针对的是数据库。但是在EE的很多场景内数据
库的概念不适用，所以我们用的是信息熵entropy。另外研究手段也不一样，CS往往是
提出算法，给出实验性能对比，因为针对的是实际问题。我们是抽象抽象变成控制问题
，然后用dynamic programming算期望，得到公式之后再优化或者放松条件找上限下限
。所以我们的contribution主要在提供insight。
另外我做的是network security，比如network topology和certificate distribution
之类的。但是和CS不一样的是，我们考虑的是如果通信网被攻击之后那么依赖通信网的

我老折腾过security camera，老实说，如果没有$2000以上的预算搞专业系统， 还是
不值那个功夫。security camera引线很麻烦，有电源线，信号线，不够长还要接，这
些花销比camera本身贵多了
所有那些几百块的security system，像什么QSee, Defender, Swan, Lorex之类， 都
是大同小异，性能差不多的，号称480, 720线的分辨率，实际上模糊的很，晚上没光红
外模式就更差了。而且一般最高分辨率只能录很低的fps，处理能力有限。
至于motion detection之类就更不用想了，玩玩可以， 根本不实用。这些便宜货基于
图像的motion detection根本不行，sensitivity调低了根本没用，调高了不停的误报
，一天给你几十封warning email，一看全是什么飞虫，蜘蛛结网，图像干扰之类， 一
星期不到保证你会把它关掉。专业系统基于红外感应的要好的多。
唯一的好处是也许能吓跑小贼，不过那样的话买个几块钱的dummy camera就行。 |

CO detector显示到使用寿命了，隔几小时响一次。打开看过，没有电池，和 central
security system连接的，这个是不是只能给安装security system的公司打电话来换呢
，他们要CHARGE 200刀，求建议还有没有其他办法，自己不会换。。 |

虑。基于自家情况，基本要求如下：
* Outdoor use;
* HD (720P or 1080P);
* Wireless (直接连WiFi rounter或有自己配套的base station再连router均可)；
* 最好有two-way intercom的audio. (但不是必须，如果其他条件都满足)
* View angle >=70 degree，100 degree以上最好；
* 要有night vision (>=50')
* 要有motion detection功能
* 要有local recording，或者提供免费的cloud recording。（DropCam就死在没有
local recording功能，而且cloud recording必须付费）
* 有email notification功能，而且email要有snapshot。（Samsung SmartCam HD

请问大家是自己装一套home security system, 还是装ADT?
弱问一句，ADT能自动通知警察吗？如果不能，有什么地方比自己装一套home security
system好呢？

发帖数: 275 | 50 现在有5张CREDIT CARD，刚来美国的时候因为没有CREDIT申请了一个SECURE CARD，是
第一张卡，CL才300，刚申请了GRADUATION，说可以UPGRADE到正常的SECURE CARD，才
给了CL500，还是和SECURE CARD一样要收年费，$39.我知道第一张CREDIT CARD对
CREDIT HISTORY很重要，在犹豫要不要关了它，第二个CREDIT CARD的HISTORY只比这张
卡少了一个月。但是查了下记录，第二个卡只REPORT给EXPERIAN和EQUIFAX，在
TRANSUNION没有记录。麻烦大牛们给指点指点要不要关了这第一张卡。要是一直保留着
，500的LIMIT，什么BENEFIT没有，一年还要叫39的年费实在是太亏了.多谢！！ |
