I have no confidence that the Brunswick authorities will ensure justice. I
would ask for Federal involvement. With a history of racism and segregation
what else can we expect from Georgia. I do hope that Al Sharpton or other
prominent leader shows up. Why is the police intimidating the teens families
? Just because they are poor, uneducated, and black?

面对不公的反应应该是愤怒,没必要用“可怜”这样的词,又不是不上藤就没活路了。
很多美国其它大学也挺好,欧洲大学也行,最不济回国当华侨去,天地之大哪都能容身。
白人决策者要照顾黑人要照顾自己的群体,能排挤忽视的就是外来户的亚裔。这次也门
兵乱美国不撤侨(主要是也门裔美国人)就说明这点。不过,因为高科技高教育亚裔越
来越多,原来没声没气的亚裔对白人的生存空间挤压越来越大经济上越来越成气候,跟
原来的难民移民星星点点受人摆布的局势不一样,亚裔想要改变被动局面就要利
用他人利器(民主跟法制)进行斗争是当前要务。
每个父母不想自己的孩子被AA
掉都是应该做点什么的。这不是上藤不上藤的狭隘小事情,而是泛化到社会的每个机会
是否公平的给予给候选人的原则问题,而不是要优先考虑其他族裔把你放最后的问题。

segregation,肤色平权,虽然面上由高院最终判决,但基本上反映的是大多数民众的
意思。
正是因为宪法不能列举但又至高无上,所以不能随随便便就什么都扯上宪法,因为一旦
判定就极难修改。就像老王说的,首先堕胎是不是基本权利存疑,并不是宪法中已知的
classification之一。其次in issue的并不是反对堕胎,而是对堕胎诊所的具体规定。
既是州政府的具体管理方法,也有州政府的strong interest。在这种情况下,即使是
基本权利,也要考虑和state interest的平衡。通常是很难证明个人利益要远高于州政
府/人民利益的。就好像政府雇员一定要美国公民,公民一定要交所得税,我不能因此
去告政府剥夺我的财产,妨碍我的生存权一样。包括在二修的大框架下各州可以自订如
何携枪,如何登记。高院只能判利用登记方法变相禁枪的法律违宪,而不能判所有各种

-卡斯特罗(Julian Castro)炮制的一个住房计划,主要内容有两点:一是在好区建造
政府楼,廉价租给穷人住;二是由政府给穷人发放高额的住房补贴,让他们租得起好区
的房子。
这里说的“政府楼”,不是政府的办公大楼,而是政府出资建造的高层公寓,廉价租给
穷人住的。前段时间发生的华人梁警官误杀黑人一案,就是发生在这样的政府楼里。
纽约有很多这样的政府楼,里面住的都是没什么正当职业没什么收入的穷人,其中不乏
吸毒的,贩毒的,打架的,闹事的,搞帮派的,勒索小商小贩要保护费的,等等,鱼龙
混杂,非常危险,这也是梁警官会紧张到误扣扳机的原因。
奥巴马这个住房计划的动机,是要让整体比较贫穷的黑人族群混居到整体比较富裕的白
人区去,使白人区变得不那么白(less white),不那么富(less rich)。
