Sir Christopher Lee, the veteran actor and star of many of the world's
biggest film franchises, has died aged 93.
The English-born actor, who made his name playing Dracula and Frankenstein
in the Hammer horror films, appeared in more than 250 movies.
He was best-known for his villainous roles - including Scaramanga in James
Bond and evil wizard Saruman in The Lord of the Rings.
The actor's other credits include The Wicker Man and Star Wars.

用自己的小说提名命名孩子。
嗯，不知道在苏州或上海有没有逗留。如果没怎么逗留，那应该说是在去美国的路上写
的，那样更确切点。让我想起harper lee的那本新书，明明就是mockingbird的初稿，
出版商说成sequel有点误导。当然出版商是为了赚钱而故意歪曲一下；张充和的那封信
不知道到底怎么回事，回头看有没有机会搞清楚。 |

我这两天再去温习了一下 Star Trek 的电影，不由赞叹 J.J. Abrams 的执导能力。
Star Wars 也让他来执导，大家要做好准备这是 J.J. Abrams 的 Star Wars 了，不再
是 LUCAS的Star Wars 了。
那么星战七的难处在哪里呢？首先，大家都还活在 Lucas 的世界里，星战7 要满足星
战粉的怀旧情结，太多创新了，会伤着这部分观众。所以，星战7 很大部分和1977的
Star Wars有很多相似之处，很多人觉得这是抄袭，我觉得这是故意这样做的，算是打
底吧，为后来两部打下基础，让这个Sequel三部曲独立成篇。
星战7采用的折衷的方案，既保留怀旧因素，又大量插入新人物，留下很多悬念，这些
悬念都是观众关心的问题，所以星战8出来的时候大家又会趋之若骛，只有等到那时候J
.J. Abrams 可以放开手脚了。很喜欢Rey这个角色，很像Padme的样子。大家都猜是
Luke的女儿，这个猜对的概率非常高。还有一个角色大家可能有点忽略，Supreme

Harper Lee, the reclusive author of To Kill A Mockingbird, has died at the
age of 89.
The news was confirmed by the mayor's office in her hometown of Monroeville,
Alabama.
The novelist was born Nelle Harper Lee on 28 April 1926.
In 1960, she published To Kill A Mockingbird, which was a huge critical and
commercial success and won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. The sequel Go Set
a Watchman, was only published in 2015.

A little skeptical before going to theater: imdb rating is 5.9.
However, BJ I was my wife's favorite, so no reason not to catch up

watched the sequel last night. quite good. good visual effects, good pace,
good atmosphere. the programmers used actual unix commands, that's something
new in hollywood movies. script have lots of holes but I didn't care, wasn'

still, to my best impression, the Hobbit tastes more like a leftover
of the LOTR feast. OK, some say even the meat left between teeth makes
a dish:)
The Hobbit is the only movie that I watched struggling to fend sleep.
The overture, hmm, intro has been too long and it mixed with too much
piecemeal actions so that after that long hour, we can hardly remember
any solid main characters. Sorry to character-building.
