初步电话咨询了解到，他们的服务叫Fidelity Portfolio Advisory Service，貌似和
其他公司的账户的不同之处在于：这个Service下面可以有多个、不同种类（Tax-
sheltered, general inverstment, etc.）、不同管理方法（Taxsensitive, etc.）的
账户，不过应该都是discretionary account.
年管理费Between 0.25% and 1.7% of your eligible assets invested。资产超过
250K会配一个Account Executive和一个dedicated Portfolio Specialist.

About 8 years old Air condition unit, every thing is working, but feel the
cold air is not like last year. It takes longer time to cool down. The AC
unit out put temperature is about 65F. One day I saw an advertisement: AC
tune up $90 with up to 2 lb free refrigerant. Not bad. Call up to make an
appointment. The service man came, check the unit out put temperature and
change a new air filter.

一次。service不等于repair, 你一定要东西坏了再叫service也可以。两年前我的
capacitor 坏了，repair 花了250， 是当时的fair price. 所以他给你的价格也不是
很高。我的邻居换了一个新AC，花了 7000，但他的电费确实降了下来。
这些东西如果你都懂还会干，并且很enjoy, 自然最好。省钱还放心。但大多数人都干
不来，或不愿干，我想。那就只有叫professional。professional 有他的费用的，大
家都知道美国的labor 很贵，没办法。
我觉得这是一个life style 的问题， 你不愿为这种maintenance的东西花钱，或觉得
market price 太高不能接受。没觉得他怎么忽悠你了。 |

。现在我们卧 室电视装上了但发现没有信号，刚刚电话过去他们 居然说安装的时候
techician只保证有信号，不保证 检查每个接口。所以他们这次要来，十有八九要ch
arge 35 service charge.然后客服拼命鼓动我入一个 4刀一月的service protection
plan ,说至少要charge 两个月才能cancel ，但是cover 所有service charge
请问大家有没有相关经验？我是怕上了贼船下不来 ，还有就是如果是房子内部走线坏
了，是不是这些 都根本不会管的啊？

草利润远高于施肥和除草因为前者基本没有成本，后者成本很高。我做这个纯粹是当做
户外锻炼，因为我对yard活很有兴趣。当然我也不会给人白干活或者low pay干活。这

就半途而废了。结果从此以后每个月被扣4.95，说是billpayment fee。那个帐户不常
理，三四个月登陆看一次，发现了，于是打电话，叫去掉service 并refund。结果当月
refund掉，再过几个月，发现以后几个月都结折扣。在打电话要求取消service 并

，学校是不会让学生去做这个的，因为经费有限。我们这还有家长抱怨过自己的孩子想
用这种service, 还排不上队。
还有呢，楼主说的他孩子的那些行为，踢石头，捡树枝之类的，哪个小孩子不干这些事
。老师会为这些生气，不太可能。包括楼主说的打人，对另外个小孩子喊，老师会给个
time out, 但是不会因为这就让孩子去做counseling service. 所以，我才觉得楼主的
孩子可能有些其他的问题，但是楼主统统认为是孩子淘气的表现，不当回事。
不少中国家长非常忌讳心理医生，孩子有问题，都以孩子淘气或者孩子智力超常来解释
。然后呢，信网上不认识的人，不信心理医生的。到网上来问，大家纷纷谴责老师，夸
孩子是特殊人才，然后家长心理安慰了，孩子的问题还是没有解决。 |

今天收到LA County的Summons for Jury Service. 第一次收到这种东西，啥头绪都没
有。看了半天mail也没有特别搞明白。
Mail里面说让5天之内必须注册，然后在service那一周保持随叫随到。现在看来我首先
得先注册一下，然后如果不想去，可以找理由transfer、excuse等。如果不transfer等
，那是否就肯定会被要求去现场？还是不一定？
另外去现场的话，需要提前准备什么东西吗？还是到时候直接去，听完走人即可？听完
后要填写什么材料一类吗？

址吗？据说 OPT 的 Receipt Notice（Form I797）上能找到。但我搬家时不小心把
receipt 弄丢了。。
如果谁还有那个receipt，也是California Service Center 处理的 OPT，能告诉我一
下地址吗？如果有电话，fax number，邮箱之类的就更好了。因为我要延迟毕业，想把

美国政府规定18-26岁的人必须注册selective service，以便战争时抓壮丁。这个规定
适用于所有合法或非法的“移民”，只要是18-26岁入境的就必须注册。非移民签证比
如F-1就不需要了，不过没注册的话，Selective Service那里也不会有你的纪录。买买
提这里绝大多数人都是18-26岁入境的非移民签证吧，跟我情况一样。
当你拿了绿卡以后，可以享受一些PR的福利了，比如低息联邦助学贷款什么的，相关单
位很可能很无聊的找你要Selective Service的纪录，没有还不行。这时候你应该到http://www.sss.gov/
下载一个表格，附上说明你入境时年龄和签证种类的材料寄回去，他们会在一两个月内
给你回一封信，有了这封信，官僚机构才会处理你想要的那些PR的福利。
这件事情很简单，但是别像我一样有了卡一两年才去办，到想用的时候耽误事。早点办
完有备无患。就这样。

领导慢一点 是registered this customer's new permanent resident status
我是485 N中心pending了4个月，打了几个电话，最后成功service request。
经验是一次不行，继续骚扰，直到找到nice的，给你做service request。
最好打电话时选expedite your service，然后接线员问一堆紧急情况，都说不是，然
后argue是因为过了normal processing time (T中心是4个月，N中心其实最晚才到09年
7月底，不过这个客服nice，给我查的是按四个月算了。
过程大致如下，以前贴过140的情况，这里只说485
4-6 140/485 RD NSCEB1B
4-28 FP
6-11 140 RFE Re with PP
6-16 140 AD
8-18 485 SR
8-21 Card Ordered
选个好日子8-18 SR 没准也有用，呵呵。

eb1a non-pp. ND july21/2011 TSC，一直是initial view, Jan25 做了service
request, 说是5天给答复，结果今天受到一封Jan30打印出来的平信。
里面是个模板。 "we are actively processing this case. however, we have to
perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer
processing time. if u do not receive a decision or other notice of action
from us iwthin 60 days of this letter, please contact customer service at
the number provided below"
看来service request 根本没必要做，什么用处都没有的 |

USCIS寄来的notice上给了一个applicant service center地址和时间，
说必须去指定这个
但是我那一天在外地
给USCIS客服打电话，说是拿着这个notice信件去任何一个applicant service center
都可以，只要在那个指定时间
是这样吗？
ps..在那个指定时间之前去，是不是肯定没戏？ |

不都是寄到NSC和TSC吗？我在WASHINGTON，并且申请EB1A的话，给推荐人写的DRAFT里
的地址是写成下面这样吗？
