台湾今日新闻网报道，这项研究样本搜集了超过200名的男女性，年龄为21到68岁。
根据调查结果显示，女性通常“搞暧昧”是因为想要在工作上得到一些方便或者是升官，而男性则是相反，通常是因为不太满意自己的工作觉得“无聊”，所以才会与异性调情，男性倾向与他人调情来缓解自己的压力及平衡负面的情绪。
研究还指出，人们“搞暧昧”出于种种原因，其中包括增加自尊、乐趣以及浪漫感，虽然适度调情可能有一些好处，但研究人员也提到，若是过度的暧昧，可能意味着你对你的工作环境不满。并且推翻以往人们认为，在办公室讨好异性说些恭维的话可能助于提振士气，但是研究结果显示并非如此。

有许多可行的办法，如：把人集中起来，比把牲畜集中起来饲养，搬迁过去几个企
业各那些人提高工作机会等。花了钱，不解决问题就是政府的失误。这种不是很复
杂的经济问题，培养了那些人如果解决不了或没人管的话，上面有怎样推卸责任呢？
