法律背景：一般的 shoplifting 不是 felon，而是 misdemeanor。
首先说逮捕或者限制人身自由。
基本原则：只有执法人员（比如说警察）可以逮捕一个人。其他任何人都没有这个权利。
然后，依照州法，非执法人员（比如说店里的保安）限制一个人的人身自由(术语叫
citizens arrest，但不是真正的 arrest)的法律依据为：
1. citizens arrest for felon: 几乎所有州法都事实上允许，前提是：目击了 felon
，并且有 good faith 发生了或者正在发生 felon。控制住了对方后，必须立刻向执法
人员报告 -- 因为只有执法人员可以逮捕他。在控制过程中，除非自卫，不得使用致命
暴力。仅在必要时使用暴力。但因为 shoplifting 一般不是 felon，所以不适用。列
出来，大家以后可能会遇到和用到。
2. citizens arrest for misdemeanors: 部分州法允许。前提和规范同上。

every Costco, so shoplifting seems pretty common there. They did not accuse
you of anything and just acting it's a mistake, so $20 seems a reasonable
compensation for your trouble.
Real shoplifter will be prosecuted and not treated the way you were treated.
I once was asked to take my shoes off when exit Bestbuy, but didn't think
too much of it and didn't ask for giftcard.

做生意总有unhappy client的。一个都没有才是奇怪和不合常理的。非常正常，我老也
有unhappy clients。
如果说到要是要比烂，那Mary Hayashi有shoplift的record。总不见得，因为一个候选
人因为有client complain customer service不好，因而不能选他，而宁愿选一个有
shoplift的记录的。
呵呵，至于Bob Wieckowski，我就不说什么了，自二月份以来，我们已经无数个电话和
Email，他老人家完全置之不理和当没有看见，直到PK的momentum出来。才刚刚同意与
我们见面。如果说楼主觉得PK的service不好，（没有与楼主争辩的意思，Peter作为服
务业公司老板，自有他应该改进的地方）而BW的行为倒是反而能接受，那个才是违反

your wife will not be deported. People
