numbers from the kids s/he wants to invite. You will have to call other
parents. -I did this before and I still sent out evite as official invite
so that I can get headcount.
There may be a shortcut. It is Oct already, did the teacher or room mom
send emails to the distribution? if so, could you see the email addresses on
the distribution list? |

是REASONABLE的？
具体到上面这个题目，这个应该是解题的方法之一吧，可是感觉现在是不是太过强调这
种SMART的凑10的方法了，也就是上面那本书REVIEW里面提到的SHORTCUT？我们小时候估
计走的都是背99表的方法，但是好像END UP也并没有不理解乘法的基本概念。现在我们
看到9，凑10的方法我们是会的。可是我们更多的直觉的就知道63这个答案。
美国是不是没有背99表的概念啊？这个我还是会让娃背。当然背之前，先自己把每一个
用加法算出来。都算明白了，就可以开始背了。

编者按：美国公立学校改革中诞生了这样一个奇葩—KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program)。在这个学校系统上学的绝大多数孩子来自穷人家庭，他们依靠抽签而不是成绩决定是否被录取，可它的大学升学率却超过80%—要知道，美国贫困家庭孩子能考上大学的只有8%！而它的管理之严格，更是堪比国内的衡水中学。
1993年，青年教师Mike Feinberg和Dave Levin因为不满当时公立学校的落后局面，决定创立自己的学校系统—KIPP。
KIPP算公立学校，仍然拿政府的教育经费，对学生免收学费，但是其运营方式有非常大的自主性—可以选择自己的教学大纲和教法，自己招聘老师，接受社会捐款，乃至在各地开分校。现在遍布全美的几十个学校拥有两万多名学生。

这边我给很多名人或富人的小孩补课，基本都是有钱人，至少房产就5M了。给我的感受
就是请我的这些富人的子女，数学都很烂，也许这就是他们请我的真正原因，大概那些
数学很好的孩子，家长都认为不需要请了。
很常见的case是这种， 本来是给老二补课，过了几次以后，突然老大也加进来了，是
老二跟父母反映说很有效果。 我补课的时候，很注重几个方面，
1， 我并不鼓励频繁做题，但对于做题太少的，我肯定要提醒这个模型你要多练习，
2， 我很强调做题要有捷径性，尤其是初中或高中的考试题目，一定有shortcut，
3， 我高度注重老师上课给他们书写的lecture notes,那个绝对是作业和考试的第一参
照物。
记得有一家白人，他们老二是去Stanford参加一个young gifted program, 都是online
的题目，这孩子一开始表现很差，我去了几次以后，指点他，不同的模式都有哪些快速
解法， 这孩子倒是满聪明，自打我点醒了几次，就顿悟了，这家人对我就开始很依赖

买了2个0.98刀的biscuits, 用了1个0.3off any two的胖子;
2个1.25刀的cinnamon rolls, 用了一个0.95off的胖子;
2个1.25刀的breadsticks, 用了1个0.4off any two的胖子;
最后等了半天catlina机器也没吐出来东西,在cellfire和shortcuts
上load的ecoupon也没用上(我是注册后2小时以后下的单,难道ecoupon

出来的情况. 不过人太懒, 从来没去dispute过. 想着比几个月前既无ecoupon也无
paper coupon省了不少了,自己已经很满足了, 哈哈.
还有,我还遇到过几次出来的面额跟描述的不一样.有一次一种辣酱, ecoupon明明是$1.
00,redeem出来的是$0.5. 前不久买Yoplait Yoyurt, ecoupon是买6 save $0.5, 结果
redeem出来的是$0.25. 没注意有问题的是SC 还是CF. 神奇的是paper coupon $0.5 也
只double $0.25. 同一单里别的东西paper coupon $0.5正常double $0.5. |
