发帖数: 385 | 4 shrewsbury的after school是镇里办的，学费挺便宜的。我记得原来有朋友小孩上的时
候afters school是抽签的,没抽上的话要排队等。如果有哥哥姐姐已经在after school
program
的话，弟弟妹妹不用抽签，会优先保证位子。没抽上的家里是由家里老人帮着看了一阵
子。学区的话，westborough， southborough/northborough 高中排名是在shrewsbury
前面，但是shrewsbury学校也挺好的。不过你家孩子还小，光考虑小学的话，
shrewsbury小学已经足够好的。房价我的感觉是westboorugh和southborough比
shrewsbury和northborough贵一点，因为地理位置更靠东一些。不过在这四个镇，50-
60万都可以买到不错的房子。有其他买房相关问题的话，欢迎联系咨询。 |

贵的房子了，自然看的人就会少啊，还有很多别的可选的。Acton除了学区好，到北边
上班的人住那交通还行，别的没什么吸引人的地方啊。。。感觉shrewsbury繁华多了。
还有Shrewsbury的房子也涨了，原来30几万的现在开价40几万。 |

Basically Southborough is a richer town than Shrewsbury.
Southborough does not have any commerical business/industry, the property
tax rate is
much higher than shrewsbury. In additon, Southborough have private sewer
ONLY and 99% of the house is using oil heating. But location wise,
Southborough is better than Shrewsbury. |

public water, public sewer and many houses has gas heating, while
southborough has public water, private sewer and oil heating. For similar
condition homes, shrewsbury housing price is lower than southborough. The
property tax rate is also lower for shrewsbury. |

上个月 1月8号 往国内寄给女友寄了个iphone5s 一直到现在没收到。
查到的记录是10号到了纽约之后就没任何更新了。 邮局说6-10 buzday 送到。 打去
usps问态度很差 说两句就强行挂电话。现在请问大家有什么方法可以找回包裹呢？ 实
在没经验寄东西， 也没想过会丢， 寄得时候，也没买保险，现在想起太天真了。单号

town，学区好，如果在Umass medical school工作或者读书，可以住在shrewsbury，靠
近9号路边上很多公寓租的，找些大的公寓，管理还是不错的。 |

拉丁裔的比较多，我个人感觉有点乱。当然住worcester的华人也不少，很多是umass的
学生。我住imperial village，住了快2年了，各方面都还不错。 |

How much is your budget?
If you have enough budget, legacy farm in Hopkinton is a very good choice
It's brand new condo and very luxury. The cost is $2240 for two bed rooms.
If you have less budget, fountain head or Windsor Ridge in Westborough are
good choices. They used to cost about $1300 per month for two bed rooms.
not sure about the latest rate.
If you want even lower rent, you can try Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury has very
good 性价比. |

Chopper, 但是不是老人能走到的， day care 有 next generation. 还有附近Ashland
的 Puncushion Montessorii school 都不错。 公寓新盖的legacy farm 不错。 但属
于luxury condo. 租金比较高。
Shrewsbury 人气旺些， 公寓也多。 Shrewsbury Green, Williamsburg Court,
Imperial Village ,maplewood condo, 出门就是shaws, stop and shop 和 price
chopper 超市。 Westboro 的 fountain head 也不错，就在 Walmart 边上。 |

，而且看得人很多，门口的车都排成队了。倒是Shrewsbury的房子比较冷清，好像涨的

质比较自由点，可能会找找附近的IT公司。LD在Littleton附近工作，他的工作性质必
须通勤，应该会上495高速。有什么好的学区房可以推荐吗？想住的舒服点，稍微远点
没关系，只要不堵车，单程在30分钟内能接受，budget大概50万左右。看了westford,
shrewsbury,acton。acton的房子基本都是60年以上了，而且像样点的房子都是60万以
上，westford看了一次没多大概念.shrewsbury的房子很新，感觉还不错就是LD上班远
了点，在30到40分钟单程。有人说最好离一个人近点，因为小孩小。大家有什么好的建
议吗？ |

都是有三十多个building 的公寓。由专门office.
Green是被很多私人买下来的。但是出租有office帮忙。离学校近，可以走着去。过马
路就是
mall。Sheridan是一个公司的。比Green远一点。但是居住坏境非常好。建筑外面可供
孩子玩的很
大很多。爬车也很宽敞。过去是随便爬。趴几辆也没限制。住着痛快。我两个都住过。
其他公寓附
近还有两个。稍微再远一点。这四个公寓都在9号路边上。我离开那里十来年了。以前
两室一厅租金
是900刀。现在好像1399刀。你自己查一下吧。

是最主要要考虑的因素。然后还有个情况就是自己先过来；老公暂时留在原单位，但正
在Boston地区找工作，可能需要分开半年到一年的时间；孩子先跟老公在外州读完这个
学期结束，然后孩子再搬过来跟我住，希望在下学期开学前把房子弄好，不知道是否可
行。考古之后，想在shrewsbury, westborough, northborough/southborough这几个地
方买个房子，但预算有限，希望是single house，3beds,50-60M（想买1980年后的房，
知道满足这点有困难，网上只有几个满足条件的）。第一次买房，没啥经验，有几个问
题想问问板上有经验的前辈。
（1） 第一次买房想找个靠谱的代理， 相关问题是代理手上的房源跟我们自己网上
看到的会有不同么？板上经常有些代理回答买房卖房的问题，大家有用过这些代理么？

年也不一定是最便宜的选择。 你可以多查一下。
我们去年在Shrewsbury/Northboro/Westboro看过房子， 感觉满足你要求的房子不少。
现在是冬季， 房子还没有大量上市而已。 |

八年前的这个季节，从国内来到美国。来美前，博士毕业后在一研究所工作了近5年。
期间主持完成了自己的第一个NSFC课题。由于不喜欢那里的小环境，离开那里后到西北
一大学工作。幸运的是，在那里又拿到了第二个NSFC课题，加上省部和学校的资助，支
起了还算小有起色的一摊子。虽然那的科研条件比原单位差一些，但一个人在那干了近
三年的时间，教书、带研究生、作科研，每天忙碌着，干着自己愿意干的事，少了原单
位的勾心斗角，而且在学生面前第一次觉得自己还是个有用之人，所以也很快乐。无奈
的是，老婆不喜欢那个地方，不肯搬过去。那时，老婆家人从一个朋友处得知美国这边
一大学实验室想找一个人。她觉得如果到美国比到中国的西北好多了，所以热情很高，
极力动员我试一试。但我当时干得还比较开心，加上要过来接那工作等于转了一个完全
