a.c. 是不错的方法。
b. 有待商榷，为什么要shrink 呢？在production environment, shrink不是一个很好
的主意。
第二，三个问题，
dbcc showcontig with fast

在结果中，主要看他的log read switch 和 extend switch 和 fragment
log read switch 发生在读页过程中， extend switch 发生在读extend （八张 页）
过程中。
fragment 越高，碎片越多。
一般来说，碎片高于30%，利用reorganize 是没有用的，只有rebuild。

我建议试试DB Job去re-create/re-org 索引，更新statistics.

喜欢安装
软件占用资源。
1 我把系统盘控制在20G 左右，去掉所有swap， page files，清空cache。
2.整理硬盘，可以用windows 自带，我用的是perfect disk 10
3. 用windows 自带disk 管理，shrink disk 到60G。注意硬盘60G 实际是 59.62GB

4. 用windows image backup 备份
5. 用recovery disk （安装盘）启动，然后image 系统恢复
我遇到的问题是
系统不让我恢复，我试过几次，把disk shrink 到50G 也不行。根据我以前的经验，
windows
允许把小盘恢复到大盘，不允许把大盘恢复到小盘。我以为是HDD 和SSD 之间的问题，
所以放弃了
系统恢复，用trueimage disk suit clone 了分区。20G 左右，用时大约1小时。

自动修复启动，正常启动。

icache 里面的东西在 worse case 是不能被 shrink 的。
因为 inode 不是在 page boundary 里面的。而且你正在 open 的 file
都是算在 inode cache 里面的。最坏情况下每个 page 有一个 inode
正在使用， 调用 struct shrinker->shrink = shrink_icache_memory
以后什么都释放不出来。要精确表示可以有多少 memory 可以被 free
出来需要走完整个 icache 才能确定。所以统计的时候用了最坏情况。
这个和 page cache 不一样。只要不是 dirty 的 page cache 马上
可以释放。用的时候再读进来好了。
而且这个明显不是 page cache, 当然不应该算在 page cache 里面。

If you install windows + mac + linux. It is very tricky
about the partitions. Mac takes two partitions. GPT and mac file
system. windows takes one. and Linux need to take one as well.
There are only 4 main partitions. It is all taken that way.
Just use live CD, install gparted, shrink the windows partition
and install linux. Make sure list the linux /boot or / (without /boot)
in the first partition other than macos and windows.

we have memory leak in our linux system, even without our app.
found this from "top" command, the "free memory" keeps on shrinking.
Now i sort the "top" by memory usage, basically see which processes use
memory most. But after overnight, the process uses most memory still shows
using 0.5% memory.
At the same time, "free memory" still keeps on shrinking.
So where should i find the problem ?

我用的是MikTex,在按Guide里面的说明把slides转成article时候，没有碰到任何问题。
但是，转成handout的时候，遇到一点麻烦，Guide建议用:
\documentclass[handout]{beamer}
\usepackage{pgfpages}
\pgfpagelayout{2 on 1}[a4paper,border shrink=5mm]
但是编译老是显示\pgfpagelayout这一行是Undefined Control Sequence.
后来看了一下pgfpages.sty文件(版本是2004年底），发现可以用这个：
\pgfpagesuselayout{2 on 1}[a4paper,border shrink=5mm]
试了试，果然通过了~！
写在这里只是希望如果有跟我一样的菜鸟也碰到类似问题，可以试试另一个，
也许能省点时间。 |

我不想把资料都放C盘，万一哪天系统崩溃了，就哭了
所以我想把C盘再分两个100GB的分区出来，就是一共分200GB出来
但是，我用动态分区，shrink volume of C，它只允许我shrink到160GB，就是说我无
法分出200GB的空间。。。
如果我不用分区软件，而是修改系统的一些参数，可以骗过系统，分出200GB的空间来
吗？
不知道我说清楚没有，希望有高人能够指教，成功了发包子答谢~ |
