标 题: 贴个科罗拉多、新墨山区游记，DURANGO大狼狗窄轨铁路

出发地点 OKLAHOMA CITY，自驾游三天时间，行程总计约1650英里
第一天，OKLAHOMA CITY，OK(海拔392米） 至 新墨的 FARMINGTON （海拔1644米），
距离722MILES，中部时间早上5点出发，一路耍过去，山地时间晚上22:30抵达，从鹅城
沿40号国家高速一路西奔至新墨第一大城-阿尔伯克基，俄州 德州 基本没有什么山区
山景，一望无际的北美大平原地带，荒草，树木植被越往西越稀疏，进入新墨州，等过
了SANTA ROSA，远处开始看到高低错落的群山了，距离阿尔伯克基DOWNTOWN还有
30MILES的时候，曲折山路景色展现在眼前，最高限速也从75降到了65，开到阿尔伯克
基已是山地时间下午4点钟，去逛了逛当地据说还不错的TALIN华人超市(88 Louisiana

San Juan Mt.位于科州的西南角，据称是科州最人迹罕至但风景最优美的山脉。前年夏
天开车去过一次，从此念念不忘。 说服了爬山伙伴小A，我们决定要into the wild。
本来没打算带小朋友， 无奈找不到合适的babysitter，再加上小朋友死乞白赖，苦苦
哀求。我心想不过是多走一天，或者少爬一个14er，就当路上多带个玩具解闷儿吧。
于是，我们两个半人，小A,我，和我家7岁话痨小朋友开始了六天五夜的探险。路程从
Elk Park顺时针到Needleton，总共大致50迈，两上两下，海拔从8700ft->12500ft-
>8000ft->12,000ft->7,800ft。分享一下路上的美景，既开心又悲催的经历

发帖数: 41236 | 15 刚看了大家的留言，感谢大家一直关心，尤其是飞姐一直打电话来，昨天最后我和LD
都已经不行了（她也基本两天没睡），最后的电话没接到，还好还算顺利赶上飞机，
及时返回SD....
关于为什么后面网站没有我的信息，我到KT Aid Station的时候，我第2个pacer,
已经受伤了，她就留在了KT, 我一个人继续走的，我有GPS，头灯，但这个比赛的
marker分的比较远，我后来也有点沉不住气，走的有点急，有个turn的地方，我没
走对，掉到一个直线下降的干河沟，再爬上来就找不到原来的路了，晚上在mountain上，
我只能看到黑乎乎的山在你的周围，但我不知道怎么从一座山去另一座山，最后拼命找到
到3点多种，知道没办法赶48小时deadline了，就找了个大石头捱到天亮，大概6点钟
天亮以后，靠GPS找到track, 走了一会儿，碰到从putnam AS过来搜索的人，最后
又走了大概5个迈，回到Silverton附近的马路，被LD pick up...
这个比赛的难度实在超出我的想像，我第2个pacer其实是RD的小侄女，算对course
比较熟悉了，但是跟我爬了17迈就受伤没办法走了,... 阅读全帖 |

mountains in colorado, to name a few: aspen/highlands/snowmass, telluride,
vail, crested butte, steamboat.

trips except thanksgiving. and i cannot take too many days off for now.
I hope I can take a whole week off to make a 10 days trip in the season of
10-11 to ski the resorts far from SLC and Denver like Jackson Hole, Big Sky,
Telluride, and Silverton. Or let me call it a dream for now:) |

1. Tahoe probably benefits from the huge storm systems on the 2nd half of
Jan which brought up to 10ft of new snow and get very thick snow pack, 100"
base in some resorts.
2. Utah is catching up, Alta has 80" base as of today.
3. Silverton, looking at 60" to 110", has way better coverage then all other
Colorado resorts. But not much ppl has chance to visit it anyway.
4. Breckenridge is doing okay, 57" as of today.
5. Mt Bachelor has 85-96" base.

每处两天免费，第三天以后五折，无blackout，
适合周末两天飞滑、或天数少的。
今年花了$1000+买了三张pass然而各种原因并没滑成，
明年不想commit了，
计划买Silverton Spring Pass，
然后二月再选张Spring Ski Pass,
剩下的day lift/ski and stay package,
或者去camp。
多滑是一方面，但时间有限就求助于好的instruction。
Canadian Rockies 2月ski&stay每人每天$80。Salt Lake City今年一月$350可以买七
晚住宿另送14张ski city super day pass，虽然雪况不理想但够我用了。 |

I-70从Central Utah到Denver那一段应该算是全美最漂亮最壮观的高速路段
6天其实如果行程排得紧一点,可以玩更多的地方,不过要看楼主的旅游习惯和开长途
的本事了.下面有一些照片去年去CO旅游的照片,主要包括
Garden of the God State Park, Pike Peak around Colorado Spring, Great Sand
Dunes National Park, Mesa Verde National Park and the Four Corners Monument
Million-Dollor-Highway (US-550), Silverton, Black Canyon of the Gannison

发帖数: 14217 | 42 同意2楼。如果想专注于自然景观，LA都可以考虑删除。加州的海滩不如佛州，LA的海
滩在加州也不属于一流。不如考虑Utah的Bryce, Zion等国家公园。加州中北部几个国
家公园冬天都大雪封山，能开车到的地方很少。其实有婴儿最好避免长途开车，LV附近
的Red Rock Canyon可以找个下午转转，黄昏时景色最好。LV市内仔细逛也要三四天，
老人孩子会比较感兴趣的可能有Bellagio (fountain show, botanic garden),
Silverton (fish tank feeding, mermaid show, and the store), Flamingo (
habitat),Cesar Palace (Atlantis show), Rio (sky show), City Center, Sam's
Town (laser show). |

有名，但可以去逛逛。strip以外的地方最好自己开车。
Strip上: fashion show mall holiday show; city center crystals; m&m store;
MGM lions; flamingo wildlife habitat.
Strip外: Rio sky showboat; silverton fishtank; Sam's town fountain show;
chocolate factory tour & cactus garden holiday light exhibit; springs

Deadhorse Point SP...
你是现在就在路上？现在去Southern Colorado貌似还早了一点，野花还有一个多月...
你如果是走US50过去的话考虑稍微绕一下在San Juan Mountains转一圈，几个小镇比如
Telluride, Silverton, Ouray都不错
那个桥。。还真挺冷门的，主要是因为位置太腹地吧，在Page附近可以看跨在Marble
Canyon上的Navajo Bridge，跟那个比较相似，虽然没有那个高。类似的深谷则可以路
过Black Canyon of Gunnison River NP的时候看看
Zion很不错，这个季节不爬山也可以玩玩水。但人应该不少，需要坐shuttle。 |

On Wolf Creek Pass, approximately 6.5 miles from the east side of the summit
, take Park Creek Road / FS Road 380, for another side trip in the area.
Take some time to explore Summitville (mining ghost town last used in the
70s). This route is suitable for conventional vehicles.

been to all places listed above two times or more) driving by with short
overlook stops is quite a waste.
RMNP, Aspen, Telluride-Ouray-Silverton (connected through mountain passes,
rented a Jeep wrangler for those unpaved roads) are all cooler places in
summer. |
