美国宪法14修正案“平等保护条款”保证给予每一个人均等机会，而不是针对种族而区
别对待。我们相信，高校招生政策应该符合美国宪法14修正案的精神。很遗憾，亚裔学
生长期以来遭受严重的歧视。“全国高校的经验研究”（NSCE）项目进行了超过9000个
学生采访。普林斯顿大学社会学家托马斯Espenshade进行严格的回归分析，得出如下结
果，此此结果也被新闻媒体广泛引用：如果想被名牌大学录取，在其它条件类似的情况
下，亚裔学生 SAT 成绩必须要比白人高140分，比西班牙裔高280分，比黑人高450分（
总分1600）。(这个分析已经把性别，GPA， 体育等方面的因素考虑在内)

就拿声场来说，在高档的音响器材里，听音环境没有什么问题，摆放合适恰当，通过A-
B对比你能说A的声场比B宽了2米，所以A更好？那我还偏认为窄一点的声场是更忠实于
现场演奏呢。
再说音色，你说A音响的音色和B音响的音色不太一样，那我说A的钢琴音色像雅马哈，B
像斯坦威，两个也都不错。
用这个文章里的术语，你可以鉴别有声场和没声场，音色很好和音色暴烂，只能鉴别有
和没有，鉴别不出差别有多少，多大。

and visualize the mathematics.
应用方面，首先是 a more simplistic number theory。
另外对于将来，我觉得实践中，大家不是数学家，老板等不及严格证明。。。
但是没根据就上马，老板担心项目爆掉不好交账（项目爆掉也得有屡败屡战的
借口是不是，除非不想干了。。。）所以非严格的形象证明的思想，在工程里
还是有用的。。。其实就是 level of confidence in math/science 。。。 |

来看，可能比较不够 simplistic。。。
当然，这也不一定。其实对于 individual 的 best-fit model，
除了 fit 被观察的事物，还 fit 观察者。对于经验主义的，或者
财迷（哈哈），可能是债务模型更 best fit。
所谓因材施教，可能也就是对不同的娃，采用不用的 best-fit model。
当然，俺娃估计是 logical / analytical kids。。。 |

发帖数: 22634 | 48 马克兄，俺本着严肃认真的态度，更正一下上面的证明过程。
俺今天早上其实跟娃花了几分钟 review 了一下这个“负负得正”
（这个差不多一年前说的）。娃说忘了具体证明过程，然后俺快速
复述的时候，发现俺昨天贴方式不太好。具体来说：
（1）不要用瓶子和天平。那个是俺后来解释方程和代数用
的。证明负负得正不需要那些乱七八糟的东西。Simplistic is better。
而且东西越少，越适合在大脑中直接分析，不需要草稿纸。
（2）同上，不要用 2 个 ball，3 个 hole。object 数目
多了反而混乱。
（3）要完整证明 “正负得负” 和 “负负得正”。只证明
“负负得正” 反而会 confuse 娃。
（4）即使娃忘了具体证明过程，俺问过娃后来有没有犯符号
错误（粗心不算），娃说没有。。。俺认为娃版证明还是有用
的，即使是忘了，但是 subconscious may drive instinct。
我现在重写一下对娃比较易懂的证明：
0 是 empty/nothing
(+1) 是 ball
(-1) 是 hole
0 => (+1) + (-1)
0 * (+1) = 0

发帖数: 6276 | 49 没有那么多的天才。我的孩子就一个普通人，能学会一种语言就烧高香了。哪敢奢望能
学两门以上啊？比如我读了下面一篇孩子写的文章，觉得还行:这个小作者有自己独特
的声音和感想。至于中文能不能写出同样水平的文章，我估计很难，因为语言的不可转
换性局限了这种可能。所以还是在孩子小的时候挑一种语言当母语比较好，如果你的孩
子不是语言天才的话。

你朋友关注的因素，不能算错，但我觉得分量很轻很轻。
目前这个地方，正面因素应该远远超过了“孩子多了有真正的social life”的
simplistic 的主观臆断。比如，因为新，所以老师（owner吧）也会更用心－－新创的
嘛；因为新，孩子少，孩子能得到更多的attention； 走路１０分钟的距离，开车就
是２分钟之内； 开车１５分钟的路，加上出门收拾就要提前２０分钟。。。
尤其最重要的是，孩子“已经”适应了 －－ 小小孩换环境还是应该重视，不要出了
问题才觉得重要。 平安适应了，多珍惜之。
