Google Local 和 Google Map的巧妙结合，是Google又一个让人叫好的在线应用。 原先
你出游查某个旅馆住宿的具体位置， 你需要事先知道它的具体地址，然后输入到相关地
图网站（Google Map是我最喜欢的）查看，而Google Local的推出， 你只需要在它那儿
输入你想要查的旅馆的信息（当然不限于查旅馆，其它商业机构旅游热点都可以），然后
Goole Local自然而然地会将搜索出来的旅馆显示在Google Map上了。
网友skater @ mitbbs 更是巧妙地利用这个方法预订出游的旅馆。他的具体方法是：利用
Google Map 直接定位你想住的地方，然后让它给出附近旅馆。 |

A freestyle session is a practice session. Freestyles are different than
public skating sessions. Usually they cost much more than a public session

34.03 seconds over 500 meters while the world record inline
skater (roller) is 39.769 seconds on a 500 meter track.That means that
their average speed is:
500m/34.03sec = 14.69m/sec on ice skates
500/39.769sec = 12.572m/sec on roller skates
So it does seems that the you can attain a slightly higher speed while ice
skating.

不同意的地方：滑冰和游泳共同点第一就是boring。
我个人觉得游泳很boring,再学会了基本动作，提高速度的时候，swimmer自己感觉不到
什么。
滑冰不boring, 学基本动作的时候，可以学习不同的，做不出来和做的出来，勉强做出
来和舒坦的做出来，都差很多。 学到跳和转，就更不boring了，从连着跳1圈到1圈半
，是个多大的进步啊。但，游泳，提高3秒，swimmer，真的感觉不出来啥。
另外再说一个，楼主看来是很注重比赛得奖，你女儿8岁多才开始滑冰，得奖的figure
skaters一般时6岁前开始得吧。你也说滑冰是个童子功。你担心女儿已经比大多数
figure skaters已经晚了2年了吗？
而你女儿这时候游泳已经游得很好了，你觉得再推游泳也到不了巅峰，所以停了游泳换
滑冰，我这么觉得你离自己的目标更远了？ |

关颖珊是跟着正常孩子上学的。小时候自己早上滑冰，上学，再滑。后来，她去了ice
castle training center训练，也是坐ice castle的校车和她姐上公校。 这个ice
castle traning center有自己宿舍，食堂，医务室，和自己的校车接送自己的skaters
晚去早回。后来，还给关颖珊请了tutor,弥补她拉下的课。 但没有自己开个
academic school for skater only之类的。 |

World figure skating champion Patrick Chan was named winner of the Lionel
Conacher Award as Canadian male athlete of the year on Wednesday.
Chan, who will turn 21 on New Year's Eve, received 102 points in voting
conducted by Canadian sports editors and broadcasters. He easily beat off
tennis player Milos Raonic (70) and UFC welterweight champion Georges St.

到终点时，有一段1.2miles的没有红绿灯，平均大概0.6度的缓慢上坡。有人告诉我这
是一个favorate sprint spot。
进入这段前，pack的速度有所加快。我为了不被前面较慢的人挡住，从pace line里
pull over然后慢慢向前移动位置，进入上坡时大概和pace line里排头的骑手平齐。
本来打算和团伙保持一致的速度就那么骑上坡去，突然前面出现了一个in line skater
- 那是我们本地的一个牛人，他老婆是另一个ride的leader，他每次就滑着in line
skate在老婆的ride里招摇（>19 mph)。看到他，我心里不知为何激起一股争强好胜的
情绪，于是右手快速往上拨了两档，腿下用力开始全力向前。
很快pace line就被甩在后面，然后in line skater也被超过了。本来可以就此消停一
下，但是感觉后面有个人在紧紧地跟着我。当时的心情真是欲罢不能，一不做二不休，

skaters. That may be one of the reasons why a lot of kids stay at level FS 5 to
FS7.
There are some steps before, but mainly, it's to glide backward at outside edge, jump foward at outside edge, spin in the air, and land on the other foot at
outside edge.
After the skater really do well with Axel jump, they can start to do double
jumps.

represent the whole group tho.
If you look back into the 90s, there were plenty of "manly" skaters. |
