for Big Sky. Though all resort may be good next weekend, probably only
Targhee and possibly Jackson Hole can be in the same condition in US then. I
bet it would be an excellent trip for skiers/riders who don't care
nightlife.

It tricked my careful speculations by delaying the dump for quite a few days
. It showed it's finally here. Yet it can still miss.
Big Sky an elite resort with second tier fame provided so much fun even
without its peak condition. Amazing. In dream I smile for the rest few days
Shrily will be a big skier given time.
Some damages to skis are not big deals; I consider it the tire of a bicycle,
which is meant to change often. |

rocks! Unless it keeps snowing at Tahoe, it's not going to match Utah snow. Powder would last the longest in big sky, but it didn't dump.

发帖数: 1968 | 10 俺认为,Big Sky是一个被忽视的很大,雪很好的雪场.如果按照vertical feet算.在北美
是屈指可数的前几名.仅次于加拿大的Whistler/Bblackcomb, 美国的Snowmass这样的雪
场.但是雪质要比Whistler好的多.还离黄石公园很近,可以顺便看看.

and one day in Beaver creek. Vail is such a big place, if you were up early
enough, you could ski untracked powder in the front side.
Where is the gate? We skiied steep & deep, skree field, and resolutions, and
a few runs in blue sky basin, did not see any such gate. I guess if this is
out of bound, it is probably the pete's bowl?

从big sky出来，去Grand Targhee有两条路，一条是沿着191，然后接20。另一条是先
北行，然后绕到西面的287。这两条路都很经常被封？287会不会好一些？
三月的Jackson Hole，雪况一般如何？ |

如果非要跨三个雪场，建议以Jackson, WY为Base。这样即使封路也可以玩2个雪场。
Jackson Downtown还有个小雪场Snow King，很陡，晚上没事也可以耍耍。你要是真考
虑Big Sky，我唯一的建议就是租辆AWD的SUV，而且提前查511路况（都有摄像头的），
封路宁愿取消计划。这边车路上抛锚了，打911估计都得半小时才能到。
什么时候封路，封多久太难讲了，一般天气预报也就提前个三天。你要是赶上上个雪季
，那根本不用担心封路时间长的问题，去年是这边30年一遇的少雪天（全美国也这样）
，不到一天就通了。 |

发帖数: 398 | 22 早上启程前往Canyonlands-Islands in the Sky，再次途经Capitol Reef，gg再次
表示Capitol Reef在这一系列的国家公园中比较逊色的观点。在进313的时候我们做了
一个非常错误的决策。虽然我们知道油不太够，也看到在313和119的交接口有一家加油
站，但是gg认为在Canyonlands附近一定和其它国家公园一样有加油的地方，于是就错
过了这家不在我们路侧的加油站。而我在看到了一个打叉的油箱的图标之后竟然没有反
应过来图标的含义。一直到visitor center我们才得到了没有加油站的确认。这一来回
，耽误了一个小时的宝贵时间。于是gg鼓励我至少要把这个告诉版上的兄弟姐妹们：
Canyonlands里面没有油，一定要做好充分的准备。
Canyonlands比较让我们失望，一来公园条件较差，没油少水。二来景色并不宜人
，也不排除审美疲劳的可能性。我们游览了Mesa Arch, Grand view point, Whale
Rock, Upheaval Dome to second overlook。其中，也就是Mesa A |

Sky area of Canyonlands National Park during the day, and go to Dead Horse
Point State Park to photograph sunset.
It was much colder today than the last two days in Arches, possibly due to
the higher altitude and the lack of surrounding sandstone fins to block the
chilly wind. The Sun was hiding behind the thick dark clouds until after

个冰川湖，个人觉得是一条景色非常好的trail。如果你在RMNP里只想走一个trail，这
是个不错的选择。咱还是看图说话吧
第一个瀑布，Alberta falls，水势惊人，离trailhead不到一麦
途中的第一个湖，the loch
沿着trail，绕到湖的另一侧
走过一片marsh land, 再爬升一段碎石路，就看到了秀美的Timberline Falls，待会我
们要从瀑布的右边（不在照片里）scramble上去
就是这里啦，在scramble之前，先摆个pose，：）scramble本身并不难，虽然看起来几
乎是直的往上爬。不过因为有水不断往下流，石头会比较滑，穿一般的旅游鞋的话就要
小心了
看我实际操练吧，开爬，：）
不容易，到了，lake of glass，对面的山是continental divide一部分
湖水真清澈阿，看到许多trout，自由自在的游。不过好象是一种稀有品种，所以
fishing的话，只能catch and release。

这本书去年年中才出版，到年尾就成了读书协会good reader 去年排名第一的新书，
很快还会拍成电影。

还是不错的。
很喜欢这种CG效果，至少是有别于其他好莱坞电影另外一种风格。
而且也最接近我心目中漫画电影的形象。喜欢里面的机器人造型。
有些人可能觉得不够精致，但是我可能受《天空之城》和《铁巨
人》的影响，总认为这样才是机器人应该有的样子。
有人把sky captain和hulk比较，我没看过hulk，不知道看过的
觉得怎么样。
电影用了很多柔光，我想那是想把观众带回6，70年代的电影。演
员的表演风格也是模仿那个时代的，我觉得很有意思。Jude Law
和Gwyneth Paltrow的表现很赞，模仿早期电影夸张和略带僵硬
的表演很到位。很多人赞Angelian Jolie，我觉得那是因为她出
场的时间比较短加上衣服好看而已。她的表演和电影不大协调。
不知道大家记不记得梁家会的《白玫瑰与红玫瑰》，或者罗嘉良
的一部电视剧《难兄难弟》，里面演员的表演也都是刻意模仿香
港早期黑白粤语片。很搞笑。 |

复习了一遍变形金刚以后，我的问题还是一样，既然他们都可以看到啥差不多的机械就
变形成那个，这几个死汽车人白痴阿，非要当汽车赶路，黄花菜都凉了，就算擎天柱比
较大只，不能变个重型轰炸机之类的么，快多了阿。瞧人家反派小机器人，一会儿当录
