Zach Hoffman was confident his small business would qualify for a new tax
cut in President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law.

WASHINGTON – Sales of new U.S. homes fell to a six-month low in August. The
fourth straight monthly decline during the peak buying season suggests the
housing market is years away from a recovery.

Hospitals who re-admit patients within 30 days after they were discharged
will now have to, under an Obamacare provision, pay fines as of October 1,
2012, which could force hospitals to slash programs that help the elderly,
