slavik和anna － anna模仿得挺像的， 他们想嘲笑slavik喜欢独舞。
surgey和melia － 这是最搞笑的一段， melia经常很夸张的样子。 看到2：40吗？
melia 在 fan position，close right foot to walk， 那是她的经典mistake， 就是
脚跟离地，往上掂一下。模仿得很逼真。 看来观众都知道她的mistake，背景里的笑声很疯。

面没有swing，看起来跟swing象的舞是jive， 比swing快很多， 借用一些swing的动作
。 swing可以算作social latin dance。 在International Latin的5种舞里面，jive
是我关注最少的， 跟你有点相似。

。 他个性非常敏感， very very sensitive， 能够在极短的刹那间洞察体会到舞的变
化和境界，同时非常有表现力地把他的感受传达出来，感染观看的人。 这注定他是一
个artist，而不是businessman。 跳partnership首先就是build一种business
relationship，（当然有发展到personal relationship的可能）。 He can't manage
well the business side of a relationship because he is not a businessman。
从某种角度说， 我更欣赏artist （虽然可能很crazy），而不是商人。
象michal和joanna这样拿了多次世界排名第一的， 跳得很机械，没有太多的soul， 看
他们的舞有时有种嚼干蜡的感觉，看了3次就不想再看了。拿了第一又怎样呢？

跳得不够成熟， moonraker不是在楼上贴出他的progress， 他大概是2005年左右形成
了他的风格， 最近又有改变，跳地更masculine一些，只是你没有注意到而已，童鞋，
不能用老眼光看人的说。

一套东西了。我个人认为，slavik的舞蹈里面的装饰性的东西太多。Bryan相比来讲还
是再跳fundamental ballroom.我以前和Nadia Eftedal上课的时候谈过一次，她就说
Slavik is a more sensitive dancer, but Bryan is by the the most rhythmic
dancer in the world. 当然，我其实看不出来。我看谁都挺rhythmic的。呵呵。
Bryan 和 Carmen 的问题是，他们没有show dance,从来都是跳比赛套路。

choreography as often as we think. I can understand that for competitions,
but for show dances in an annual dance festival as big as the one in Japan,
i don't expect to see the same dances from the same couple every year.
Slavik and Karina's 5 dances in 2003 are so similar to those in 2004. The
classical, graceful rumba we discussed the other day is almost the same - of

performing artists has refined, esp. slavik. In WSS 2003, when he saluted
the audience after the performance, you can see he tried to cheer the
audience by inviting a japanese granny sitting in the front row to dance a
few steps. He had beard/sideburns, came out an almost naked upper body
showing biceps triceps or whateverceps, and walked with a touch of desperado

A question about Russian names: they put their family names after given
names, right? But why do girls have family names ending with -va and -a (
guys with -ski or -kov). I used to think those -va are given names. Do they
modify family name if the baby is a girl?

Sorry, the title isn't accurate enough. They are not doing international
tango at all. At most, they incorporated some argentina tango. But it's
very interesting to watch.

but you've gotta find a good instrumental version. my search returned some
mediocrely remixed versions - if i first hear these versions, i might not
like the music at all...maybe the version on the M&J website is a remixed

- to learn all the basic figures from bronze to gold from my favorite
dancers...
Why?
- Most good videos target advanced dancers. For example, 'competitive
figures' by slavik and karyna is really good but the figures are too
advanced for me to learn at this moment.
- Some videos covering basics are not taught by current top dancers, so the
teaching quality is not high (speaking just from my personal preference).

available, and Karina is available. BTW, I wonder if Karina is ever going to
find a partner again: it is just too hard for anyone to follow Slavik to be

in general since last sept (there was some slacking time around dec and jan,
though). my body is more flexible; my understanding of dancing is better;
my balance is improved.
right now i am learning the bronze, silver, gold figures for 5 dances,
following the video series "dancing basics with passion" by slavik and
karyna - yes, that is my textbook. I have finished chacha (3 levels) and
moved to samba; next week i am go |

reseanable downloading speed, about 400-600M each. just search the title and
download the avi file -- the rar files are password protected so it is
useless to download them. Fortunately, those who knew about password
decompressed the files in their emule-shared folders, so we can all download
from them.
A few more videos to watch out for: Dance Bible by Luca and Lorraine,
Believe in Basics by Alan and Donna Shingler ...
