我是刚去过， 觉得现在去不太好玩， 估计秋天去看树叶可能还有点意思。从TN出发，走
I-40W, 440出口出，再走几十miles就到山脚下了。路上会经过几个小城市， 靠近景区的
原因，一堆一堆的餐厅，旅馆，离smoky mountain最近的是一个叫Gatlinburg的小城市，
很精致的样子，可以在里面转一下。
然后就进山了，老实说没啥可看的， 普扑通通的一座山， 不高，不险，不秀，就是雾也
没什么看头。在进山的公路上有一些可以停下来观景的地方， 开始还有点惊喜，看多了
也就觉得这样。 在TN和NC交界的地方可以停下来看一看还成。 再过去就到另外一个小阵
，cherokee, 比Gatlinburg还小，更加没意思，最讨厌的是还没地方买酒。是native
Indian人的保留地，所以你还可以看到一些小赌场，有个地方有印地安人表演土著舞，极
差，会索取小费。
smoky mountain的牛处在于它生物种类的多样性，咱不是动植物学家，就是想散散心看看
景，这一点就不成了，到处都一样，一条小溪伴 |

cades cove is a very historic place for US. People went to Cades Cove are not
for scenic place only, they were also looking for history of mountaineer.
did you go to the highest point of Smoky Mountain? Which is the second highest
mountain at the east, sunset is beautiful and cold. it is not far from the New
Found Gap.
We were also caught by heavy rain in the mountain when we were on our way of a
8 miles hiking to a fall, the fog is really great.

in TN, we were always joking about the train, it seems so slow that I doubt it
will arrive anywhere, plus, seems they only have freight trains, not for
passengers.

美国的传统音乐对世界音乐的发展贡献很大，形式也很多样，有乡村、蓝调、蓝草、爵士等不同风格。在传统音乐的乐器中，有一种乐器叫班卓琴（Banjo），最早由黑人奴隶所发明。班卓琴有四根弦的，也有五根弦的，四根弦的班卓琴的外形看上去多少有些像中国的古典乐器——阮。
得克萨斯州的达拉斯市有一支班卓琴乐队，创建于1989年，已故的乐队创建人之一的斯莫克伊(Smokey Montgomery)是一位造诣很深的班卓琴家，尤其擅长将各种风格的音乐改编成适合班卓琴演奏的曲谱。达拉斯班卓琴乐队的人使用的都是四根弦的班卓琴，包括高音班卓(Tenor Banjo)和拨弦班卓(Plectrum Banjo)。
达拉斯班卓琴乐队每个月都会去一个固定的饭店演出一次，平时则会隔三岔五地去各种场合演出，如老人院、酒吧、剧院或者个人的生日聚会等，演出一般都是收费的，但对老人院等一些福利机构的演出则免费。乐队也常参加美国各地班卓琴节或者爵士音乐节的演出。
