or you can translate your datastream to package file by: pkgtrans |

read relevant documents at docs.sun.com, or following my steps below:
on your new system, do the following:
1. Create a directory for CD image:
# mkdir -p install_dir_path
2. Mount ISO image, (the first disk need special handling!!! read
sun.mount.sol9.iso.html for details)
# lofiadm -a /absolute_path/iso_image
# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/lofi/1 /mnt
3. Change to the Tools directory on the mounted disc.

Mounting Solaris CDROMs
So you've shelled out $20 for downloading the solaris ISO images...
and you suddenly realize you dont have a CDROM burner. You now have a
slight problem, because using the normal "mount a file as a
filesystem" trick, only works for the first filesystem in that file.
Happily, there is a workaround that you can try.
To turn a solaris 9 "cd 1 of 1" into two mountable files |
