例如Carmel Del Mar是从K-6年级。CVMS只有7，8年级，但每个年级都很大。
据说有的apartment complex，一边划到Solana学区，一边划到Del Mar学区。
Solana学区有两个好处：
1. K上到下午
2. 不用像Del Mar学区那样请家长捐800刀支持孩子的文体课 |

Highlands还有Solana Pacific同属SBSD,但亚裔比例高，所以分数高。我个人觉得同一
个学区，教学质量上差别不大，只要家长注意不要让孩子被西裔学生的懒散风气影响到
，肯定会成为好学生。 |

初，高中好像有校车，不过孩子活动如果丰富多彩的话，校车可能也不是很方便。

初高中就不方便. 我家大娃明年6年级, 小娃明年3年级, 大娃眼看就要上初中了, 想就
近点.

There is no school district called CV. There are only school district
called solana beach and del mar. And these are school districts for
elementary schools. For high school, middle school, solana beach and del
mar merge into a bigger district.
For your information, Torrey pine high school is inside solana beach
school district, which is one of best high schools in San Diego.

以前跟大家讲过，因为加州经济不好，学区请家长捐钱来补贴教育。今年的筹款
deadline是本月底，如果筹不到足够的钱的话，学区就会再减掉四个老师。刚才听到一
个老美跟我讲，他们学校里有些亚裔告诉他，"It is our belief in my community
that we did not give money to the public schools". 好像这些亚裔就是要占别人
的便宜，take free ride一样。我听了很吃惊也觉得很被羞辱。那些人自己不愿意捐就
好了，把整个亚裔拿出来说事干什么？我自己觉得咱亚裔家长还是挺支持的吧。我们许
多双职工的家长要上班，时间上投入不了，金钱上还是大方的吧？

early, I'll hop on the Amtrak for part of the way then catch my connecting
metrolink train at a bigger station. Sorry, I don't work in San Diego, but
I know many that commutes to QCOM from Irvine. I commute from Norwalk to
Irvine, but I've taken the Amtrak to Solana Beach, then drive to SD and it's
a pretty smooth ride.

区，北面的是Solana Beach School District,南面的是Del Mar Union School
District。初高中则是San Dieguito School District的。
Solana的学区是K-Grade 4在小学上，G5-6在Solana Pacific School上。Del Mar（
DMUSD)的学区是K-6都在小学上。这两个学区的孩子都上CV Middle School或Earl
Warren Middel School。高中孩子可以选择上Torrey Pine HS或CCA.
在同一个学校的孩子，家里的家境一般不会相差不太多。所以用经济原因来解释为什么
亚裔捐款率低是不太完全的。 |
