cell culture（HeLa cell）, antibodies, immunoassay reagents等等，所以打算预
算 $15K 的材料费。独立以前用得很少，从来没有自己买过这些东西，都是合作实验室

indicator of the overall health of US economy. Bad seed has been sowed long
time ago. This hit is different from what happened two years ago. After
short-term correction, the peace time will come.

年终于从ESL毕业了。 听说读写四项分数，写作低于同年水平，其他都持平。在家里，
小姑娘狠得意，自认为英语水平最高，因为她知道的英文而老妈我不知道的，比比皆是
。上礼拜做BRAIN QUEST 的小卡片，在四个词里边找一个不一样的：“mare hen bull
sow"， 我看题的时候就发了半天呆，给孩子一读，人家一下就答出来了，惭愧惭愧。
去学校里观摩其他同学的谈吐和课堂作业，感觉她的交流能力和单词量在中等水平，
所以ESL的评估还算准确。鉴于女儿的语言能力一般般，两岁还说不来句子的那种。我
大胆地觉得，这个五年，大概其就是普通孩子在中英混合环境下学英语， 到达NATIVE
水准需要的时间。和我最初的预期相比，显然漫长了很多。好在终归年龄很小，不用考
虑因为语言能力导致的心理压力社交压力种种。
题外话...
话说女儿一年级之前的好朋友，还是美印欧各国人士居多的。一年级过后，十来个中国
孩子们就自发地报成了一团。吃饭，课休时间，都扎堆坐在一起，玩在一起。我问女儿

另外这次所谓主流媒体集体失声其实就是说明一个长期存在的道理：种族的融合只有在

孩子，多生娃，争取经济控制权政治投票权。为有自己代言人，为收买代言人努力。李
嘉诚来了的话大不了以后把ABC买下来。这样的人来不了就培养我们自己的！
想漂白自己英文再溜，吃再多的沙拉，读再多的英文诗也是到“谁是自己人”的时候，
被人拒之门外。在民主政治下，斗争可以偶尔明朗化，更多时候是润物细无声。

不做外包好多年了，如果没有和外包公司相处的经验，还是不要用的好。这是个从一开
始就互相都不信任的合作过程。
如果没有更好的解决方案，只能止损了。
我所在的公司，从来没有到期不交活的情况（除非客户变更SOW或更多的changes)，倒
是有许多客户不付款的，CEO现在彻底成了讨债CEO了。
