两年时间学spanish,把spanish AP考了，还有两年可以学学其他语言，比如中文，拉丁
文等等。多学的language其实大家都要学一门的，只是程度深浅区别了。去dulles还不
是一样要多学数学或者science。我倒是觉得数学什么的如果有需要到大学再多学吧。 |

当地人喜欢的top water tackle. 收获3条spanish和1条blue，小鱼无数基本都放了，
keep了两条做bait。
老婆本来也钓上一条spanish，拖到跟前了被一只shark一口吃下去了，然后drag就被拖
着一直在跑线，她赶紧把线割了。
期间看到别人上了3次tarpon，但都是拖到pier下就割线了。不过没看到别人上spanish
。Catfish倒是挺多。
今天收获还是挺意外的，尤其是还有一条blue。老婆遇到shark的故事也足够make the
day了。

今年K2攀登分为南北两侧。南边经过艰难准备，大约11名攀登者于今晨冲顶。原来天气
预报天气应不错，但实际是强风，根本不能冲顶。攀登者们别无选择，只能放弃。经过
5个小时已安全下撤到大本营。南面的K2攀登基本宣告结束。北面的著名登山女将
Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner等三人还没到达突击营地，目前还不知他们今后几天计划。K2
自2008年大灾难以来已两年无人登顶，今年结果如何，要看Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner他
们的结果。Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner已完成13座8000米山峰，K2是她最后一座。在所有
攀登中，她都是无氧攀登，没有大团队，而且经常选择非常规线路，是登山女性中的佼
佼者。

据最新消息，Kaltenbrunner他们在C4营地休息了一天等待。在这么高的海拔滞留一天

Steps. 罗马多山坡，Spanish Steps 还真就是一个连接两个小广场的高台阶。类似于
巴黎Montmartre山顶的Basilica of the Sacre Coeur，这里也是
年轻人聚集的地方，也同样可以坐看城市里的各种喧嚣。拾阶而上，小坡顶端的Piazza

面经大全”吧！中英文混用，大家包涵着看。
El Paso 在texas和mexico的交界上，很新，很漂亮，也很安全的小城市。住的是
program给推荐的80块的Hyatt Place，hotel有shuttle接送，去机场和医院都很方便。
hotel对面就是一个shopping center，不想出去，hotel自己的bar也有很好吃的食物。
面试的当天，一共3个candidates，其他两个都是中美洲过来的，会说spanish，件了我
觉着很奇怪。据说这个医院的病人90％都是说spanish的，他们的residents 和
faculty 也绝大部分是spanish为native language的。先是听morning report, 点名提
问制，觉得他们的住院医大都有很强的临床经验。faculty也很热钟教学，PD和
chairman都在，faculty之间也有很友好的争论，感觉很学术。然后就是PD和chairman
过来握手，都是直接称你的first name，感觉相当友好。然后PD带我们去隔壁 |

1。这个好多前辈都叮嘱再叮嘱了，我还是犯了。申请前抱了Spanish的强化班，在caf里面也只写了basic Spanish，后来很多事情赶在一起，就没去成，虽然以后请了tutor强化了一些，但还是说的有些牵强。本想着写的是basic，可能别人不会有啥期望，但还是弄巧成拙，和一个PD对了两句话，人家就大串的Spanish来了，然后只能告诉他，自己还在初级阶段，没听懂他刚才说的啥。感觉辛辛苦苦培养的bonding一刹那就没了，重要的是credit啊。所以caf里一定要小心，不要指望别人能记住细节。 |

学校没有什么太大的帮助，但是对你以后的practice是很有用的，别的不说，光是
floating的时间就会减少，能拿到permanent store的可能性大大提前了，羡慕啊，要
是我也会说spanish就好了 |
