先说做之前我买的supplies吧..
for room: adam carpet powder, adam plus fogger. 有750 sq feet and 1500 sq
feet, 看你房间多大来决定. adam plus flea&tick spay. 不是替adam家打广告,
groomer强烈推荐的，她们那都用这牌子.
for cats: capstar and advantage II, 没买flea shampoo, 因为肥仔一向在家称王称
霸，一出门就怂得要死，没办法只好带他去groomer那. 小黑很乖, 我就用网上好些人
推荐的 blue down detergent给他洗澡.
因为俩猫身上都有跳蚤，所以每两礼拜我就给他俩重复用advantage II.
flea bomb之前: 把capstar药粒捣碎混在猫粮里给他们吃. 没读label, 以为每猫就得
给一粒, 实在太大意了 :(

有很大关系。对于小狗由于事故概率很低，在这些地方也就只能这样了。但是如果有条
件选择，收入水平又可以支持的话，做一做也没什么问题，也不能说明vet黑。
今天早上送Lilly去spay，看到一个中年白妇女用一个塑料衣服箱子装着猫就拿过去了
，连买笼子都省了，也不知道得有多穷才会这样。这要是做几百块的test+手术我估计
很多人就宁可不做手术了吧，结果更糟。没法。 |

发帖数: 8966 | 4 我家大猫进的早，猫三岁狗一岁时我生的孩子。小猫是闺女一岁半以后来的，不过小猫
进门的
时候我闺女在国内。不过幸好在国内，因为小猫是外面捡来的，来了spay之后就生了大
病一场，进ER，住院，找N多专家，打针，吃药，喂饭。
不过我闺女回来，没啥磨合就很好了。
我家大猫属于很独立，但是胆子也大，不怕人。
狗是对谁都亲。
小猫胆小，但是很奇怪就是和狗关系特别好，可能是大猫总是不理她的事。
我觉得，你家大猫要是天生就是当奶爸，奶妈那种性格，就是喜欢别的猫的，进一只小
猫应该没问题，如果大猫性格你摸不准，就不太建议了。有猫确实特别喜欢别的猫的。
小猫一般比较好磨合，我家这个烈女也默认了小猫的地位。
至于打针什么的，shelter领养的从打针到spay/neuter 都好了的，这个不用担心。就
算是领回来了有shelter flu，也吃点药，怎么也是一个月就可以了。
所以，你现在可以考虑进一只shelter的小猫，看看性格，能和别的猫相处的就很容易
了，没问题的！ |

需要打疫苗，5联还是3联的，rabies，spay/neuter
建议分开两次去做
可以考虑先spay/neuter，过两周再去疫苗
不建议一次搞定，虽然生一次visit fee，但是小猫，尤其是小野猫体质会撑不住的
先不要洗澡，要是脏，用unscented baby wipe擦
准备kitten 猫粮和水
和大猫隔离，直到体力恢复 |

发帖数: 6829 | 7 shelter分两种：kill和no kill的。据我所知，本版做义工的都在no kill的shelter。
no kill的，尤其是私人开的，大部分是本着救助去的。要送猫只能送这些地方，kill
的万万不能送。而且进去是真的拿不出来的，他们看着不好送的猫（比如黑猫），就借
口杀掉，根本不做测试的。如果是担心spay和疫苗的费用，可以向no-kill的shelter求
助，他们经常有free或者很便宜的项目。哪怕是spay以后在户外喂口吃的，也比送kill
shelter强。
当然lz他们也是好心，但是真的很没有相关知识。这么大的决定，怎么也该先上来问问

现在天气还好
最好弄好窝，粮食和水，让母猫和小猫暂时安家不要转移
继续跟rescue联系。如果他们都表示坚决不收，你就问问他们有没有low cost spay/
neuter program。其实如果你说你foster小猫，但是希望可以和他们一起去参加
adoption event，他们一般会答应的。他们说满了主要是长期挂靠的foster家庭都满了
。你要是加入foster，一般可行。主要就是带去spay/neuter，疫苗，可能这个自己要
掏一些钱。然后喂猫，小猫适时最后进屋indoor喂养。猫妈妈如果亲人，最好也indoor
，一个是你自己也方便，一个是如果猫妈妈也狗social的话，将来你们可以养，或者
adopt出去。
如果进屋，则需要准备litter box和litter。 |

What practical difference this distinction makes?
1)This cat can be adopted as a pet. Since a feral is not socialized to human

Shelters will not RETURN a cat to where she is trapped unless the cat is a

，而且neuter之后也不保证会完全没有。金毛这种容易有hip问题的，我觉得还是保险
点等完全成熟之后再neuter的好
我真心觉得现在很多vet给推荐的neuter/spay时间太早，很多shelter更是不负责
你唯一会碰到的问题就是boarding和daycare有可能会拒收，但是也一定能找到不要求6
个月spay/neuter的

狗还多，而且纯种的puppy都是抢着要的，完全可以花点心思找个守信用的主人
但是那个人的意思就是不管怎样我就是不信任对方，干脆spay了踏实。我找不到那个狗
后来的照片了，特别吓人，基本没有正常发育的肌肉，比正常高度多了近10inch
所以我怀疑太早的spay/neuter会让狗长得比正常的高一些 |

2011年我在上海居住时 领养了一隻小母猫 当时与原饲主说好 小母猫必须FIXED
打所有的针 健康情况要好 对方照做了 她出示的动物医院的就诊纪录也都详细记载
了小母猫在那一天被SPAY 三年的狂犬疫苗何时打的 与各种体检记录等 我们回美国
时花了近6000人刀把小母猫带回美国
去年一年都没有问题 但今年开始 小母猫开始在房内到处撒尿 我们估计这与房外的
十多隻野猫来SEDUCE我家闺女有严重且密切的关係 这些流氓当然是问题的根源 所以
我把这些在我家附近鬼溷的大小猫隻 一隻一隻抓去结扎 老实说 这些野猫半夜在我
家PATIO叫春的声音着实让人想入非非 我开始担心我家闺女HOLD不住了

家后，开始几天藏在床底下，我把水和饭用棍子送进去。慢慢她敢出来了，全家人迅速
沦为猫奴，真是靠卖萌吃饱饭。可是好日子没几天，她就in heat了，尿了几次床。似
乎spay是不可避免的。3周左右一个cycle. 这些天情况好好坏坏。打电话问了spay的事
，觉得好心疼，开腹手术不说，还要戴个大灯罩子好多天。我就一拖再拖，宁愿洗被子
也没送她去做手术。我心底一直有个小小的愿望，让她至少做一次母亲，也不枉她来这
世界一遭。
我小时候养猫生小猫加起来也有两三百只了，照顾孕妇奶猫的经验是有的。现在的问题
是，到哪里给她找只公猫呢，有住洛杉矶附近的同学吗？有没有人和我一样，想让你家

不少TNR组织是公益性质，借trap没问题。抓的时候最好用 tuna 一类气味大的
食物做诱饵。挤破鱼油胶囊，滴几滴效果也不错。提醒一下，很可能抓到的喵
不是你想要的那只。 如果抓到的那只没被太监的话（spay后不少是把耳朵尖
剪掉一点标记），不妨做把善事，送到TNR做手术，控制一下喵口。即使自己养
也应该考虑手术。TNR组织提供的vaccination， spay surgery 服务比宠物
医院的便宜。 |

鸡小胸tender？，去皮去骨的鸡腿肉也不错，但是大农村不容易买到，鸡大胸就算了太
干。然后把每顿量分装扔到小的zip袋子里，每袋子里加上烧烤酱。封严冻起来。前一
天晚上或者早上扔到冷藏解冻，晚上回家弄个平底锅，喷上点儿cook spay，煎，煎的
过程要用铲子压，几分钟就熟。
弄片生菜，卷个tortillas，按口味抹上酱就能吃了，我是蒜蓉辣酱配点儿面酱，蚝油
啥的。基本无油，有荤有素有粗粮，感觉比较健康。另外喜欢的话，跟锅一起煎个溏心
蛋也算经典组合。
