人不是很多。签证官就问了句到美国干什么,然后又要了关于我的材料看了一会儿,主
要是看I-20什么的,然后就说通过了。看来广州的确比较松。
个人背景:F1学生,独生子女,10月初在东部一所学校完成答辩后,到西部一所学校OP
T做博后。邀请父母过来呆一个月,旅游 + 参加毕业典礼 (给签证官的信上是这么说的
),签证前机票已订。
父母背景:家在湖北小城市,这次跨区到广州签因为广州有亲戚,加上广州预约排队时
间短。父母都已退休,以前从来没来过美国。
个人准备的材料:
给签证官的信(中英文各一份,附有自己签名),phd学校发的邀请父母参加毕业典礼的
邀请信,I-20, EAD卡,护照,最近一次赴美签证,博后老板的offer letter,博后学
校的ID,phd学校的ID,最近三个月的checking account, saving account记录和工资单
,航空公司的机票行程。这些材料大多是扫描发给父母的。
父母准备的材料:
户口本,我的出生证明,父母的结婚证,退休证明,退休工资存折,房产证,父母与我
的合影,父母在国内旅游的合影,签证照片,DS-160表打印页(左下角贴上签证费收据

South Carolina Rep. Mike Pitts has introduced legislation that would mandate
that gold and silver coins replace federal currency as legal tender in his
state.
As the Palmetto Scoop first reported, Pitts, a Republican, introduced
legislation this month banning "the unconstitutional substitution of Federal
Reserve Notes for silver and gold coin" in South Carolina.
