Devonshire & Bayard, even though 2 blocks away is much nicer.)
Option 2: Better community. Walking distance to grocery store. Lots of grad
students live around. Need to take bus to school (but time-wise similar to

Pittsburgh.Pittsburgh School District has a magnet program which you have to
apply for, it is a public school. Point Breeze is the hottest area, too.
请教一下大家，如果在Squirrel Hill或者Shadyside, Point Breeze买房子，性比价好
不好呢，magnet program以前没有听说过，看起来不错的样子，也不知道学校到底怎么
样。我们没有在雪天开车的经历，所以不敢住得离学校太远又担心房子不会保值。据说

，也是个中国超市，更小了。
CMU附近有个韩国超市seoul mart，很多韩国同事都在那里采购。Squirrel Hill里在
forward和furray那里也有个韩国超市，好像叫young's mart，要是住Squirrel hill，
可以去看看。 |

现在的2br apt要出租，735/month, lease直接跟公司续（从八月一号开始）。
地点在squirrel hill 的wendover st.
房子面积挺大，两个卧室以外还有一个sun room,卫生间比较大，shower 和tub分开的。
自己只付电钱，其他都是房东包。
据我所知这是squirrel hill目前比较便宜的2br apt了。

City police say Qin is from China and has lived in Pittsburgh for two years,
but her English is limited, which may make communicating difficult.
Qin is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 115 pounds, with black hair and
brown eyes. She wears glasses and is known to frequent Oakland and Squirrel
Hill.

1. City of Pittsburgh的学区，大多不怎么样。Pittsburgh School District里最好
的是Colfax K-8，在Squirrel Hill（注意：并非所有的Squirrel Hill地区都属于
Colfax K-8，注意查看具体的学区划分）。此外Greenfield K-8也还不错，黑小孩不多。
Greenfield和Colfax基本上公共交通还算方便。当然也要看具体位置。到Oakland匹大
校区基本一部车直达，时间大约半小时左右。
周边地区几个公认最好的好学区包括：南边的 Mt.Lebanon，东北边的Fox Chapel，北
边的 Franklin Park, Sewickley 等等。
2. Mt.Lebanon：中国人很多，房租也不贵。基本上 2br 在 600～900 左右。Mt.
Lebanon是这几个好学区里公共交通最方便的。即使不买车上下班也比较方便。
交通：自己开车进城的话必须经过隧道，肯定会堵车。但可以坐 Light Rail 到

public land. 22 can travel very far if you miss the target. Even squirrel
hunt, you need to use shot gun. Some state also have squirrel hunting
season. For water fowl, you have to use shot gun with non lead shot shells.
In some township, no firearm may be discharged within certain distance from
the road and houses. You need to be very careful. I have never seen any
pigeon in the wild. Only grouse and dove/ turtledov |

今天是在黄石的最后一天，动物之旅。开车从北口入公园，在Mammoth转向东，之后在
Tower-Roosevelt往南一点点，到Tower Fall，之后往北返回到Twoer-Roosevelt，之后
向东往东北入口方向走，据ranger说这是看动物最佳地带之一。
天气是看动物绝佳的阴天和时下时停的毛毛雨。一路的小瀑布和小trail都已经不再新
鲜，只有动物才能让我们兴奋起来。
确实收获颇丰。一出门就遇到一只形单影只的大胖bison，在马路中间徘徊。车子们排
起了长龙，这只bison就像领导检阅部队一样，踩着双黄线一路走过来，缓缓经过一辆
辆汽车。当这个庞然大物离我只有不到半米的时候，心里还真有点紧张。
之后在wraith falls走了个小trail
身残志坚的典范
瀑布本身一般，倒是trail上看到好多可爱的ground squirrel，有一只一直作沉思状，
直到我们走的相当近了才纵身一跃，跳入旁边的小洞里，原来就在家门口，怪不得有恃
无恐。

洞口很小，偶尔有很少的新土在外边，底下钻过也只拱起一小块土地，但是能看出痕迹
会不会是ground squirrel
前院有几个洞感觉几乎肯定是ground squirrel的洞，洞口比后院的大，3－4inch
且院子里经常看到小松鼠 |

庆祝新斑竹上任，献上可耐滴小松。
有句成语是咋说来着“人生百态”，俺这里秀的是松鼠，就篡改一把叫“鼠”
生百态吧。话说这松鼠 ，俺在国内的时候从来没见过野生的。可在这里，却成了大俗
，大大俗。有童鞋称：北美三大俗，大雁（Canada Goose），松鼠和兔子。可巧，俺家
后院就有两大俗----松鼠和兔子，好在俺家后院的松鼠不祸祸俺地菜菜们。可是，这讨
厌的兔八哥却是菜菜的一害，今天兔八哥不是主角，暂且搁一边。另外一俗-----大雁
，想不看到他们都难不是，这个大家都懂滴。
松鼠的分类，习性等等，大家可以放狗狗一下，就知道了，白鹤MM秀了Fox
squirrel，我在DC 还看到了黑色的松鼠，可俺们这里多半都是Eastern gray squirrel
