From this answer we can make an educated guess and say that the Kingston
SSDNow V Series 40GB Boot Drive will support TRIM with a future firmware
update. This will likely happen after Intel has officially launched their
own 40GB X25-M drives with TRIM down the road. This is a small negative, but

Kingston saying that it has upgrade the SSDNow V100 to a "business/
enterprise class" SSDNow V Plus G2 (SNVP325-S2N) for free. The V Plus has a
better controller, faster performance and free 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch kit for
use with desktop computers.
Order one today, if you don't like it or did not get the upgrade, return it
to Costco, which has the best return policy in the field. |
