我现在在东部的一所小学校做博后，进这个组才4个多月，当时的Offer Letter说先签
一年合同，到期后根据双方的意愿有可能续签，所以明年7月初我的第一年合同到期。
目前我正在申请一些学校的教职，本来联系了三个推荐人，开始都答应给我写推荐信，
可是最近其中的一个不理睬我了，邮件不回，电话也找不到人，不知怎么回事。我想换
一个推荐人，因为很多学校就是最近开始Review了，我不想在那个推荐人身上花太多时
间了。可是好像又没有其他合适的推荐人，除了我现在博后的老板。不知我能否让我现
在的博后老板给我写推荐信？我的顾虑有两点，第一是我刚进来时间不长，老板对我不
太了解，而且这几个月也没做出像样的东西出来，怕即使老板答应给我写，也不会写得
很强。第二点是我从来没有给老板流露过我要在第一年合同到期后离开的想法。万一老
板不答应给我写，而我想走人的意愿有被老板知道了，那么第一年合同到期后老板还会
愿意续签吗？如果到时教职的工作也没找着，目前的博后工作也没了，那岂不是竹篮打
水一场空？
版上有高人能否给予指点？还有，实在不行，能否找目前同一个系里的Staf |

看大家对ICC的讨论很多，但好像没有人讨论过，这种公司对个人以后的事业发展及信用
的影响。
我个人觉得ICC应该是不得已的选择，如果你有其他的方法保住身份，就不要选ICC. 因为
ICC肯定会要你改简历，添加虚假的工作经历。这样做确实能让你在很快的时间内找到工
作,但是后果也是很严重的。我听说一个印度MM加入ICC后，很快找到一个大公司的工作，

check，她的虚假工作经历是经不起check的。所以有人一直呆在ICC里直到拿到绿卡。因

9月底时, 在MS网站上投了简历, 因为我平时是用java的, 我就投了一个java的
position, 不明白他们为什么要招java的. 后来就有一个微软外包的staffing company
的recruiter和我联系, 说有一个sdet position问我感不感兴趣, 我当然感兴趣啦,
testing就testing吧. 然后她就帮我安排phone interview.
现在说说phone interview的过程. phone interview我的那个人又是一个recuiter,微
软自己的那种. 但是她搞了一堆技术问题来问我, 她说她手上拿着答案呢.
有一些behavior question:
为什么要来微软? 我说微软好啊, 大家都知道微软, 微软的人很厉害. 拍了一下马屁
工作中你遇到和别人意见不一样时你怎么办? 我说有意见就说嘛, 小组讨论时有不同
意见就要讲出来嘛.
你在过去的一年中有没有做过什么和工作无关的technology的事? 我说我学了一下C#,
尽管平时不用C#. 她听了好像很高兴 |

我的基本情况：
专业：EE, Phd
美中部的一个学校
从去年十月起开始写简历，参加学校的招聘会，在网上投简历，一直到今年六月份，只
有几个staffing company的recruiter的电话（后来也没有什么消息了,自己经验不足，
回答问题不好），这一段时间没太用心找，主要还是因为忙着写paper和毕业论文。
六月基本论文写完了，开始修改简历，在网上投简历，确定了三个主攻方向，
Electrical engineer，machine vision 和 control engineer.这些都和自己以前的经
历有关系, 但是收效甚微。
七月底答辩，八月初交论文，学生生涯就此结束。于是集中精神找工作。感觉自己的简
历写得太差，又拿给周围的同学，上班的熟人看，提出意见，修改再修改。
八月中，在接到一个houston的石油服务公司的phone interview（基本是behavior问题
，介绍自己做的东西）后终于迎来了第一个onsite int |

己是staffing company，也有的说our client有个职位什么的，这些人都是recruiter
。你投了，他们会找你，但是投的那个职位不一定会面你，但是之后有合适的他们会给
你找。我一年前联系过一个，给我介绍一个工作，也是很小的公司，但是很正规，给的
工资也很合理，可惜没要我。后来我没再找工作，这次换了一个，还是很热心给我找工
作，因为他们的工作就是要把我们推销出去。我觉得通过recruiter找小公司还是可以
的，比自己投拿到面试的几率要大得多。 |

，是个老美开的正经的Staffing公司。
俺现在有full-time job和H1b，所以只需要transfer H1b。请问在决定从了他们之前都
该考虑哪些方面？？

处拿，公司付给猎头一笔服务费。
consulting公司（准确的讲应该是staffing公司），你是它的员工，你的工资由它给你
开。它把你派到其他公司干活。其他公司付它钱。 |

1）据说现在有一、两个月的GAP，移民局的大政策是transfer都会批，不过估计就是要
出境签证再回来。
2）另外就是找学校转F1，这样没有GAP，而且不用出境。但是再找到工作就要重新申请
H-1b，虽然不占名额，但是也不是transfer了。
跟猎头们都聊了一下，他们对这些事情也都不是很清楚，只是听说transfer还想想，但
是F1 reapply就不太高兴理你了。问过律师，transfer和reapply在cost上面没啥区别
，但是在手续上有没有区别我就不清楚了，有没有人知道呢？
现在的情况是11月对找工作很重要，过了这个月，基本机会就很少了，所以现在转F1有
点怕丢掉一些机会。但是又怕这个月没找到，学校那边又晚了，结果还要搞出GAP。
另外，我看到有人一直说有些staffing company可以做contract挂靠H-1b，请问都去哪
里找这些公司啊? |
