contract. It is better than no thing. The company wants me to start asap.
On the other hand, another company may give me an offer 1+ week later. Right
now, I have to take the offer. Can I quit the contract position shortly it
starts in case the 2nd company made a permanent position to me.
Is this very immoral? Please advise. |

很小（不小心说下很破）的start up

工资特别底 比学校博士后多点
就是离老公上班的地方有1小时

start date is on or before MM/DD/YYYY"。不过目前还在准备若干dream company的
interview，打算等到结果出来了再决定从哪一家。由于这个anticipated start date
就在两三周以后，现在想尽量往后拖一拖，不知道跟HR negotiate一下可行么,还是说
这个date就是入职的deadline？如果想推迟入职，甚至延到圣诞节过后才开始上班的话
，很担心这个保底的offer会被撤回……

如果很早，可以跟你的学校商量，让他们去跟uscis商量，把starting date提早一个月
如果正好在starting date前一天，那就得把整个package withdraw，再重新申请，提

million了。start up能挣个1M也不错了，除非能运气超好当到很早期员工。还有很大

事情是这样的,先前找了一份工作,因为background check跟之前government shutdown
已经delay好几周,今天律师通知收到h1b transfer receipt可以上班了。对方hr问我何
时可以上班,我说我想给三周notice, HR就语气不太好的说希望我能start as soon as
possible并且cc给hiring manager. 后来下午打给hiring manager, 对方说希望只要
two-week notice,并且11/27上班(感恩节前一天),因为12/2有一个桉子要开始进行。
虽然说我知道two-week notice是standard, 但是现在这个公司人力短缺, 而且之前一
些事情, 算是我欠老闆一个恩情, 我不想损rp (现在老闆我上周通知 他也说... 阅读全帖 |

feedback, toward offer, 要约个时间Phone chat。自我感觉Onsite 表现一般，卡了
几次， 但乐观地想Phone chat 可能会是个Offfer :) ，可能会问我starting date.
刚开始一份短工，Mentor 为人学识不错，Project 也很有意思， 想把合约做满。不
知道如果把start date 定到 明年二月 下旬算不算reasonable?

证再加上给现在公司的notice，一共要5周才是稳稳妥妥的。已经告诉recruiter需要5
周，还在等回复。
不知道因为这样，会不会把offer给收回啊？一般的start date都是多久？
另外，吐槽一下Adobe的EchoSign，连加一个comment的地方都没有，还不如直接拿
paper的方便啊 |

新公司要与我谈OFFER，现在让我网上填一个application form, 内有要求填starting
date。
如果我在现公司呆到今年底(12/31/2014)的话，就能拿到今年的bonus.
并且，我今年的3周假期都还没有用掉，且年终现公司还会有个10天左右的shutdown
break, 所以我想在12月份回国一趟，明年一月2号再上班。
但这样一来，我就得向新公司要求有2个月后才能去上班。我这样的要求，对新公司来
说，是不是有点过了？我也不想还没开始上班，就惹得他们不高兴。
可是，如果现在就去上班的话，今年的bonus和10天shutdown break我都拿不到，对我
来说，又都太亏了。
大家能给我点建议吗？谢谢！！！ |
