这个恐怕是AMEX系列里说得最多的，它是有BVG功能最便宜的卡，它的BONUS，它的REWARD
恐怕是最好的。不要说是AMEX，可以这么说它是所有HOTEL卡里最好的。
为什么这样说？那得从分析HOTEL/AIRLINE PROGRAM说起。通常HOTEL/AIRLINE发行一张信
用卡无非是使持卡者在别的消费时也能积累点，对旅馆可能是好事，对我们可就要分析了
。先说一个反面典型，Marriott，相对而言它的最低兑换点还低于Starwood，MARRIOTT住
一块钱10点（1:10），7500时最低兑换点，也就是花750块后就有一晚免费，STARWOOD是
（1:2），2000最低，那得花1000才能住一晚免费。但是他们的信用卡都是其他消费记一
点，那我得花7500其他消费才能住一晚MARRIOTT，2000块就能住STARWOOD了。所以这个比
率很重要。我查过的HOTEL PROGRAM中STARWOOD 是最低的（BEST WESTERN 1:1但是没有信
用卡，HILTON 1:3.3但是 |

Starwood就是一hotel chain啦，跟什么hilton(希尔顿），marriot(万豪）啥得差不多。
旗下有（基本上从高到低）几个品牌：
The Luxury Collection,ST. Regis, W, Westin(威斯汀）, Sheraton(喜来登）, Four
Points by Sheraton
跟航空公司的frequent flyer program类似，旅客在定旅馆花的钱或者在旅馆里的消费都
可以积点，starwood自己的 frequent guest program叫 Starwood Preferred Guest。里
面档次大概是：Preferred/Gold/Platinum.这个具体就不说了，基本上是越靠后越牛，不
过前面两个差不多（屋子里多瓶水啥的），除了gold member在旅馆花的钱1刀积3点，
perferred 2点.

光靠花钱住旅馆来积点，对于大部分人不现实，所以spg Amex credit card就显得比较有
用了。

I am confused about the eligible purchase of $1000. I was thinking it is
like a regular Credit Card and I can buy Grocery, shopping, etc to reach $
1000 in three month. Then they mentioned receiving one additional Starpoint
for each U.S. dollar of Eligible Spending charged on your Card account at
participating Starwood properties, which sounds like a store credit card (
such as Macy cc) and you can only use it for participating Starwood
properties.
Anybody can clear the air for me?
