坦白讲，虽然steveb对产品的判断力很差，但是他是现在微软唯一一个对公司有感情的
人。每年25年以上的雇员都会在executive那个楼的水晶杯上青史留名，第一个杯上有
两个人，billg和steveb，换别人，不管是sinovsky还是三哥，都会拿整个公司的前途
，十几万个家庭的幸福，豪赌一把，因为他们对公司没啥感情，就像我一样。
懂事会不傻，每个的财产可能比万佛所有人加起来都多（版上要有常委的亲戚或者开矿
的算我没说），为什么不换steveb是有原因的。 |

发展职业，比如说举办讲座等等活动，有贡献。是不是按照level来颁奖，到时候看
email就知道领奖人了，查addressbook就知道level了呗。倒是好像颁奖人自己是
technical fellow.赫赫。
每次活动都要感谢主办方和赞助方的。executive sponsors大概要支持活动所需费用的
一半的。此外，人家帮助chime到steveb那里宣传了，才有人家抽空到chime里面来给了
一个talk.steveb是不是到其他组织那里，例如印度组讨论过，就不知道了。
晚会的门票$5每人大概连基本场地的租用的1/4都不到。组织者很不容易的。
其实不满意的话，很容易的。打入组织内部，steer the ship and change the course

In his wildest dreams, at most 10000 Microsoft workers will convert to
WP7. The saving between a free unlocked phone and $220 rebate is a grand
total of about 3 million dollars.
3 million dollars for Microsoft is not even a number!!
If you can get good devs excited, imagine the good apps people will be
writing for WP7, now most people don't give a damn.
Of course SteveB has no brain or vision to realized this, f*cking MBA

make out to be.
If they decide to do tablets on WP7, the earliest possible ship date will be
the end of this year (that's assuming they didn't take some horrible hack
that makes WP7 not work on tablets).
If the ship it end of 2011, they will still come up against daunting foes of
iPad and Android 3.0, and it's expected that they will not be able to get

这个老板没有道理拒绝的，只要你写的和实际情况符合。
你是发email问吗，不行就打电话，言词恳切些，给他们讲清楚是怎么回事，电话上人
不好拒绝。
实在搞不定，实在要闹番，就发给你老板的老板的老板。
或者发给steveb,抄送billg,lisab 和kevin，痛骂软软薄情寡义，不给前员工活路，如

发帖数: 120 | 7 从危机发生以来,微软是大公司中雷人最少却是在bbs上影响最大.我看到几个方面的影
响。
1. Shareholder：通过这次ER （lower than expectation and no forecast）, 大家
都会认为微软前景很不妙。至少不是危机时机好的投资选择。
2。Employee：对公司高层失望。很多能力强的会选择离开。能力弱的或有身份问题的
会留下来，而且未来18个月将陷入内斗。
3。Products：为什么是18个月？微软产品一般18-24个月一个RELEASE。而且每个
RELEASE后就会REORG。也就是说接下来18个月中有RELEASE的组都可能雷人。这就很有
趣。如果RELEASE晚点就会雷晚点，因为开发中雷人还是很少见的。那有被雷风险的组
可能会有意拖延吗？
4。SteveB: 形象一落千丈, 很难改变了。他今天被人指着鼻子说sorry证明他就没想过
也没觉得sorry to被雷的人。回想起他以前在会上大喊：developer,deverlop,.... I
love this company， 曾经打动了不少天真的Engineers。 现在想起来让人 |

这描述似乎和LZ在某一帖所赞赏的, "丝毫不顾及sales/marketing/pm，每次开会
就大吼developer devloper的人"的SteveB 似乎很相反. 不过我相对而言比较同意你的
结论.
大公司需要好的MBA来打理. 但在高科技行业想要出众, 你又还得有专业的嗅觉. 最好
是领导者两者兼备, 如果做不到, 就要好搭档. Ballmer的MBA水平我不清楚. 我觉得他
的煽动力很强. 可惜他没有一个非常好的技术头脑做后盾(不管是他自己的还是别人的)
, 以至于热情洋溢的讲话时间久了被看出没有内容. 各个event如果有他的keynote大家
还是很重视(至少媒体不会遗漏), 但这几年心里不以为然的听众恐怕已有不少. 下面这
一年半载, 对他的不屑恐怕会表面化. |

20年后再看google，不用20年，今天已经的bureaucracy已经不少了吧，自己去看看ex-
googler怎么说的
能够真正做好多线产品的有几个？google还不是多年后还是只有search/ads赚钱，到处
invest，fail掉的产品多了去了怎么你们不跑出来说了
今天跟当年不一样了，good is not enough，微软自己没有做好某些产品是一个方面，
竞争对手比多年前强大多了也是一个原因 |

Yes it is true from what I have been hearing (dont know firsthand). Here is
what I think will happen.
1: OSD will get the maximum shaft.
2: Bing & AdCenter's 10% are being aggressively managed out. It is common
knowledge that majority were handed out raises around 1% - this was for a
reason. I think those remaining will get the push beginning this week.

mobile不同，首先用户不买账，其次用户买帐的东西是free的
微软只好到处打官司，其实微软要玩狠的就去告Google啊

steveb肯定是盘算着要是wp不行，就从android上收license fee
