Saeco and USPS used to auction off their bikes for a shitload of money.
Others just sell them off to local people or dealers. Someone grabbed a
Tmobile Pina Prince on ebay for around $1K... with full record and Campy
wheels. Pretty sweet.
Only catch, a lot of those bikes have custom toptubes, often 1-3cm longer
than stock sizes. |

for them!
but the point is, are they just for show? I see a dozen of these bikes
everyday. But the riders are all really strong. To think about it, even I
can afford much better bikes if I don't ride them much. But for the
thousands of miles I ride every year, I simply have to ride cheaper bikes
for all the shit that could happen and all the ever increasing fees for
anything.
