本周在美国的纽约市，两名男子因在几天前暴力攻击一名同性恋者而被控仇恨犯罪

据纽约市司法部门本周发布的案情，10月3日凌晨时分，34岁的受害人在石墙酒吧
的卫生间内受到两名男子殴打，两名犯罪嫌疑人是21岁的马修-弗朗西斯（Matthew
Francis）和17岁的克里斯托弗-奥兰多（Christopher Orlando）。
事发当时，弗朗西斯先是问站在小便池边的受害人是不是同性恋者，在受害人回答
“是”之后，弗朗西斯叫喊出一句粗话，要受害人“滚开”，还说“我不喜欢同性恋的
人”。弗朗西斯接着又开口向受害人要钱，在遭到拒绝后，将受害人推倒在地，并朝受

从小我其实就比较向往西方文化，爱看名著。最向往的是这里的人的自主独立，各管各
，对人都比较尊重，不会随便去打听别人生活或者抨击别人生活，not judgmental。言
论自由，每个人都能有每个人的看法，而不是政府告诉你你要相信什么，像我们以前的
政治课那样。同样的女性的地位也比较高。这些是来美国之前对美国的看法。
来了美国以后我坚定了喜爱这个国家的想法，因为在这里我感受到了言论自由，思想自
由，决定自由。而且美国可以拥枪，从思想形态上给了国民真正的自由，一种政府无久
远、水能载舟亦能覆舟的概念。我作为一个亚裔女性，刚来美国的头几年里没有感受过
什么歧视，在这里学习、生活，一直非常愉快。大家交往都很尊重，努力的人得到好的
