significant strabismus by 1 year, the child will get referred to a peds
opthamologist, who will then decide whether it is indeed "pseudo-strabismus", or any intervention is needed (or
whether it will "correct" on its own). "pseudo-strabismus" can be normal for the first couple
of years, but many other conditions can mimic it. that'
s why most pediatricians that i have worked with use 1 year as the cut-off. :) |

儿科医生，儿医也怀疑，因此今天转去看专科。
给小朋友看眼睛，不是件容易的事情，因为这么小不怎么讲话。比如说，因为
strabismus有时会引起double vision，我们就想试验她。举起两个手指头问是几个？
说TWO！举三个手指头，还是TWO！不但没有double vision，还看丢了一个~~~究其原因
，小菜还不怎么识数，：P所以我也挺好奇，不知这个医生会怎么检查。
第一步看视力，在墙上有slide的图案，先是一只手，小菜咕哝了一个词，我和医生都
没听懂。然后是一只小鸟，小菜说鸭子，算对了。一个人骑马的图案她先说了马，也算
对了。最后是个老式的电话，小菜就不认得了，主要是现在都是手机，她从来没见过旧
式的电话。然后看两个眼睛是否平衡，给小菜在远处放动画片，然后他轮番挡上一只眼
睛，如果有一只眼睛不好，另一只挡上的时候她就会比较upset，不过看来没有，小菜
始终看得津津有味。然后是拿两个可以活动的小鸟测两眼的视角，这个也OK。最后拿出

多伦多病童医院及加拿大儿科手术等待时间项目(Canadian Paediatric Surgical Wait Times)研究人员在加拿大15个儿科医院对6万4000多个手术病例研究后得出以上结论。研究人员的调查报告发布在本周出版的加拿大医学会期刊(Canadian Medical Association Journal)上。研究人员在报告中指出，牙科、眼科、唇颚裂等候手术时间最长，癌症、神经外科、心脏手术等候手术时间也不短，总共约有27%病例没有在六个月内获得手术治疗。
多伦多病童医院矫形外科医生莱特(Jim Wright)说：「有的病例诊断时间只需要一周或三周时间，因此武断设定六个月的手术轮候时间框架，不是非常合理。」

发帖数: 124 | 9 小儿弱视其实发病率挺高的，一般占人群的3-4%。 之前有个帖子提到，国内现在
的诊断标准不统一，不过在美国这边是有一套完整的诊断标准的。 这里简单普及一下。
首先要诊断弱视，必须要做排除法，也就是要排除一切器质性病变，包括一切视网
膜、视神经及视觉中枢的问题，然后才能考虑弱视。
要诊断弱视还必须要做包容法，也就是说必须要找到一个可以导致弱视的因素 （
amblyogenic factor）。 这个导致弱视的因素包括以下的一点或多点：1）斜视（
strabismus）； 2）眼睛度数过高 (high refractive error)； 3）阻碍性 （form
deprivation）。 第三种很少见，一般是由于先天性白内障、角膜大伤痕 （large
corneal scar）或先天性睑下垂（ptosis）等引起的， 就不多说了。详细说说1和2。
斜视有两个高发时段，一是6-9个月 （infantile），一是2-4岁 （childhood）。
所以建议在这两个时段带孩子做一下眼睛全面检查，这不是一般的小儿科医生做的。

发帖数: 913 | 10 看到今天有两个关于眼睛的帖子，就我自己的理解来讲讲。我不是医生，只是我的女儿
两岁开始戴眼镜治疗远视，这些都是我从孩子的治疗过程里体会的，有不对的请大家指
正。
1。远视（farsightness）单纯的远视并不可怕。一般小孩子都会有不同程度的远视，
随着年纪的增加，眼球构造的成长，远视会慢慢减轻至消失。即使不能完全消失，轻微
的远视并不影响视力，因为人可以通过肌肉和大脑的调节来看清楚。但是像我女儿这样
深度的远视，必须戴眼镜来治疗，不是为了治疗远视，而是为了防止斜视和弱视。远视
本身还是要靠年龄增长来grow out。
2。斜视（strabismus）这个就是所谓的对眼儿了。我女儿就是因为对眼儿才发现远视
的。一般医生认为亚洲小孩鼻梁宽，所以看起来都有点儿“斗鸡眼”，不用担心。但是
如果父母有怀疑，一定要去查。我女儿去看了两次眼科专家，一次是一岁，医生说是我
的幻觉，不了了之了，后来两岁时候我挺不住了，又去一次，还是同一个医生，还说是
幻觉。这次我坚持要检查，就做散瞳差了眼底，孩子哭得死去活来，不过真的查出她两

My mom found out my eye problem when I was five, when everything was not too
late. then I wore a pair of glasses and corrected lazy eye by a small
machine. This little machine had stripped patten at the bottom but some
simple picture that required you to copy on top. when the power is on, you
have to focus with the lazy eye to copy the picture with the spinning

问题，需要早期干预治疗。
统计上4% population是对眼，小孩更多，还是要当回事的。
想办法让小朋友合作检查吧，我是知道有因为不配合，就当做没事，结果耽误好几年的
