Study Section?

I agree the best way is to email your specific aims page to the PO. The PO
can suggest to you potential study sections.
One thing I find helpful is to go to NIH Reporter. You may search by 'study
section' to see what grants that study section has funded in the past. This
is a much better way to assess fit than reading the study section
description.

Case-control studies are used to identify factors that may contribute to a
medical condition by comparing subjects who have that condition (the 'cases'
) with patients who do not have the condition but are otherwise similar (the
'controls').
The case-control study is frequently contrasted with cohort studies, wherein
exposed and unexposed subjects are observed until they develop an outcome
of interest.[3][4]
It seems your study is one of the two depending on your outcome variables.

but as long as you strive to be fair I try not to worry about things out of
