The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, "dive bomber") was a
two-man (pilot and rear gunner) German dive bomber and ground-attack
aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, the Stuka first flew in 1935 and
made its combat debut in 1936 as part of the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion
during the Spanish Civil War.

1940年5月11日，德军的1800辆坦克出人意料地绕过坚固不可摧的马其诺防线，从阿登
山区一举突破几十万英法联军的防线，迅雷一般杀向巴黎。驻扎在法国北部的英法联军
措手不及，面临着被合围的巨大危险。
仅仅2天时间，德国坦克先锋就杀到了法军的缪斯河边的色当防线。双方最高统帅都意
识到，色当能否守住将会决定法兰西战役的最终胜负。
法国最高统帅甘莫林将军认为色当防线固若金汤。防线除了有缪斯河的天然屏障以外，
还有极其坚固的要塞和强大的要塞炮。德军如果渡河，必然受到要塞重炮的打击。德军
要想攻下这样的要塞，就必须使用大口径的重炮。甘莫林和法国军事高层估计：这类重
炮在阿登山区非常难以运输，至少要使用八匹马拉拽。按照他们的速度，最快也要晚于
坦克部队四天到达。这个时间足够英法联军把主力转移，抵抗德国军队，挫败德国人的
全部阴谋。
5月13日，德军开始强渡缪斯河，色当法军立刻按照预先布置用要塞炮进行轰击。由于
战前要塞炮就对射击地域做过精确测量，炮击极为准确，德国的小船又怎么能抵挡这样
