This is a good list, I've always been wondering what exactly is deprived
from homosexual couples.
The problem is, I don't believe that government should have a role in
marriage anyway, and the public should not subsidize marriage. Most of the
benefits you listed should not exist in the first place, even for
heterosexual couple.
Especially for issues involving money. If the public for some weird logic
thinks that couples should be rewarded monetary benefits, so be it, but it's
up to the pubic to

has many very good reasons to regulate the food industry, but that
doesn't mean that FDA should get into the sausage making business
itself.
That said, I personally think that it is probably necessary to subsidize
Amtrak from a "public service" standpoint. However that does _not_

and postal service though. Land suitable for building roads
is a scarce public resource that needs to be regulated
and perhaps even subsidized, or it's prone to be monopolized.
OTOH, I don't see why postal service can't be privatized.

I am disappointed too. I hope Obama cuts cost first and then extends
coverage to all Americans. But I know the reasoning of Obama plan. He think
cost will not go down without broad mandatory coverage, as health people
will opt out the coverage to save money and sicker people premium will have
to go up. Essentially, insurance has to be subsided by the healthier and
younger towards the older and sicker.

But the analogy is still there: the migrant workers send most of their money
to their hometown instead of spending it in the host city, they use

When do I say there is free lunch? It transfers money to the person
purchasing a house from people who do not buy a house with credit. It is
just a zero sum game. The cost of the mortgage is subsided by the taxpayers
and it makes house more affordable.
I prefer to buy house in Cash. I do not support FNM/FRE. It is a better deal
for me if the interest rate is 15-20%, which drives down the house price.
15-20% was the interest rate before the establishment of FNM/FRE.

A federal judge ruled that Congress violated the Constitution by requiring
Americans to buy insurance as part of the health overhaul passed last year,
and said the entire law "must be declared void."
With his ruling, U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson set up a clash over
whether the Obama administration still has the authority to carry out the
