吧。卡耐基的书老实说我觉得有点dry,主要focus在why上，没有具体的How。当然我也

李翊云。
纽约客把她列为美国目前40岁以下最出色的20名作家之一。
Iowa的写作program很难进的，全美最强，九十年代50%普利策获奖者都是从那出来的。
李翊云能被录取很不容易，不过当时系主任不让她念creative writing，因为母语不是
英语。后来第一年下来，她的作品在纽约客巴黎评论这样的顶级文学刊物发表后，才转
的到cw的。
她的第一部短篇小说集A Thousand Years of Good Prayers得了很多美国和国际性的大
奖，还被美国的华人著名华人导演王颖拍成了电影。
去年她发表了第一部长篇，The Vagrants，以她老公东北老家浑江为背景，讲的是70年
代的事。
李翊云在办绿卡的时候被拒过。当时给她写推荐信的有美国作家协会主席和纽约客主编
