Since it's pretty nearby and the trail is not that long, I was thinking of
meeting around 1 pm by the Orange Trail parking lot
Just a warning, the trail is a little tedious, not steep but lots of ups and
downs, so bring lots of water.

发帖数: 1837 | 4 转眼又是初秋了，山上的颜色已经开始变化。想看秋色的筒子们要开始行动了！就算不
喜欢hiking也应该开车到山上去转转，要不守着这么近的山这个时候不利用真的是浪费
了。秋色好看也就是一个月左右，然后就要准备雪上运动了。:-)
这周去的是Sugarloaf Moutain，如果你去Alta滑雪的话肯定知道Sugarloaf在哪。Alta
的Albion Basin是附近最高的trailhead，起点就有9000英尺，如果从这里出发的话随
便爬爬就上一万了，还是比较有成就感的，呵呵。我们这次是从 Alta出发的，路线稍
微长一点，但景色也更好。因为这条路线很大一部分是service road，所以难度比较低
，最后登顶海拔上升也只有2000多尺。更爽的是下山可以从Albion Basin坐Alta的免费
shuttle，省了几麦的路程。

climb. I walked up just like everybody else. The walking continued for a
couple miles, and I wasn't feeling well. Somehow I seemed to have been
drained of energy. I felt dizzy and nauseated, my legs felt weak, and I was
wobbling as I hiked up the dirt trail. I had a pro bar in my camelbak but I

road earlier in the race, they felt like they were flat an I didn't remember
there were rocks on the way. But now rocks seemed all over the place and
everyone of them would hurt and slow me down. The road became smoother as I
continued, and I could jog a little. But I was still going NO FASTER THAN
WALKING.

从collins, sugarloaf, 还有supreme都有blue run可以下来。
印象中，supreme那边的rock n roll有点意思。
collins的blue run很长，而且没有新雪的时候经常会有点icy。你也可以滑到一半的时
候，坐lift在上去，不过可能等的时间稍微长点。那块有个coffee shop和cafeteria，
很好认。
sugarloaf lift底下也有一个cafeteria。
至于黑道嘛，不了解你的情况，但我觉得在groomed的情况下，从sugarloaf lift下来
的sugar bowl大概是最容易的了，而且非常短。其次是extrovert，这个比较长。不过
这星期一直在断断续续的下雪，所以最有可能的情况是，大大小小的mogul，呵呵。 |

难度： 以标准 Echo Mountain （终点是Hotel废墟）为1.0，以Mt.Baldy登顶为5.0（
最高），则此次hiking难度约相当于10. 因为这个难度关系， 参加者只限制一起
爬过山， 或认识的人。
基本线路简介：
早上5点从Ice House Canyon trailhead 集合出发， 走½ mile之后往南切， 走

滑雪场地. Essentially,it is based on the Bar and night life.
From the snow/trail quality point of view, Killington is not as good as the
northern VT/Maine ski areas, for ex, Stowe, Jay Peak, Sugarloaf...
However, it's a good enough ski are for most skiers/boarders to enjoy.
