are RWD.
The story I heard is that: RWD over-steering, FWD under-steering. So
different kind of feeling on handling.
And another thing is the weight distribution. "RWD + front engine"
would cause the front/rear weight distribution not-so-suitable for
snow surface. Example is Crown Vic, its percentage weight is 56/44,
i.e. 44% of weight on drive wheel. While a 64/36 Lumina (FWD) could

This is not true. Driving of Enclave/Traverse is very different from a VAN.
I drove an Odyssey for a couple years before and I owns an Enclave now. Try
them yourself.
Crossover SUVs, like Enclave/Traverse, use car-like frame, more comfortable
and for regular highway.
And "TRUE" SUV, like Tahoe, uses truck-like frame, are more powerful in
towing and more suitable for off-road.
There is no "better" SUV, pick what you need. |
