发帖数: 379 | 1 周末一起爬Shuksan的九个人里，Vineeth、Sean和我都是去年同一个周末被从Shuksan
的trailhead一路浇到high camp，再一路浇回来的难友，不过今年这个周末的天气预报
看起来不错。星期六踩着八点钟ranger station开门的点去领permit，还有一个4个日
本人的队伍和我们差不多时候到。现在Shuksan的permit有限制了，一次只发6个group
，还是所有线路合在一起算的，这个周末的所有permit都已经被预订了，不过有两个的
还没来取，ranger让我们等等，说打电话帮我们问问。等了有半个多小时吧，都在商量
改走Baker的Boulder了，ranger告知那两个group都出了点问题来不了了，于是我们和
那个日本人的队伍一队领了一个permit，皆大欢喜。
大概十点半从trailhead出发的。很小的parking lot，车子都停满了，别看地方很偏，
还真有ranger专门来检查parking permit的... 四面全是云啊，低低的包围着，什么都
看不到，又让我们联想起去年的悲惨经历，NOAA真是越来越不乖了:-( 一开始1.5

at least, that’s what I thought.
Carrying 35 pounds and made to Haystack in 1 hour 48 minutes was not a joke.
I told myself that I, am, going to, make, to the end of Sulphide glacier.
The rock climbing at the very end, I can let it go this time. But, I will
certainly try my very best. Why? Because even thought I am not in any way to
impress ZD, I am not in any way want to disappoint/annoy him, so that I

We found the trail, and re-filled water supplier. Then they roped up
proceeded to summit. "You wait here, night or day, till we back." ZD said to
me.
Yes, I did not go to the end of Sulphide glacier. Yes, I had to choose stay
behind, not because I was forced to. I knew, it's either me sacrificing my
chance to my own promise, or they 3 had to sacrifice their chance to summit
in a day. I wish that I could be better shape, and I wish that I could be

第一次见到Shuksan是去年春天跟关老大去Baker滑雪，那里有一条叫Canyon的雪道，一
条长长的山谷，背后是大气的Mt Baker，前面是秀丽的Mt Shuksan，美极了。“待嫁的
新娘”，记得有人这么形容来着。
第二次是去年秋天带小朋友去Picture Lake，湖光山色，美不胜收。那时候zd老大已经
带人从Sulphide Glacier登顶一次了，看来将来也有上去的可能，专门仔细看了一下。
年初老大为了准备从North Face冰壁直上Shuksan，打算从Fisher Chimneys热热身，认
认路，那时就打定主意要抓住这个机会。几经波折，终于成行。
Fisher Chimneys算是basic climb里面相当难的一条线，很exposure的scramble，很长
的approach，很陡的雪坡，尤其有navigation超难著称，这次算是全碰到了，还有额外
赠品，在我来说算是挑战极限了。

，翻了好几个FALSE SUMMIT，有很多羊。。
Mt Shuksan - North Cascades经典，目前爬过最喜欢的雪山。线路是Sulphide
Glacier，最后的金字塔部分是很有趣的一段scramble。
Mt Hood - Old Chute，很陡很icy，今年去的时候Pearly Gates木有打开。
Mt Baker - Coleman Glacier，早季去的，属于比较简单直接的线路。
Mt Garibaldi - Cascade Range最北的火山，在加拿大。 |
