这学期学了C,C++ 面向对象，Unix shell，自己看了算法，时间仓促就大概看了一遍。
summer学校开的课有data structure, computer architecture, OS.

贴下背景，版上各位好心帮我分析一下，我这条码工路能走通么？下一步该怎么走？
本科physics，女生，有身份。以前觉得编程累啊，MS半年之后发现硬件也不轻松，还
不好找工作。还是码工吧，对着电脑，比在clean room里头挨着冻，吸着不知道名字的
气体，还不能吃不能喝强太多了。C语言就大一的时候学过，都3年多了，忘得差不多了
，所以这学期从基础开始补。我这能当码工么，大概要多久能出师？ |

填了一晚上GS的申请网页, 然后又稀里糊涂地递交了. 今天网上搜了下关于summer
intern的申请, 才发现GS家是有黑名单的, 一次fail说是终身block. 后悔呀... 而且
我不是常青藤学校的phd, 事先也没有去大城市做networking, 估计不被fail的几率跟
买彩票中奖的几率差不多了.
所以在这里发个贴子, 求好心人给个refer吧, 不是GS的也没关系, 还没到大多数公司

intern 的position。
以下是今天刚收到的offer信，是做summer intern的。公司CEO面试后给的offer，并表
示如果表现好的话可以转成 full time（这一条没写进offer letter里）。
有几个问题问问大家：
1. 这个offer是email来的，有效吗？
2. 没有和现在的老板说，我很担心他不让我做intern。如果是这样的话，那家公司的
CEO答应让我做part time。但我知道作为full time 学生来说part time 工作肯定是非
法的。公司的CEO 对我说如果我目前不能做full time，那就先不付我钱，但让我把每
周的工作时间做一个记录，等我的opt 开始以后，再一道给我。请问这样可行吗？
3. 如果现在 答应了这个offer，以后不去会不会有什么问题。

月要生老二,父母会过来帮忙,而且老公也放暑假,老大放家里带是没有问题的,但是没有
其他小孩跟他玩,他本来就比较内向,不太爱跟其他小孩玩,考虑上SUMMER CAMP主要是怕

了很大进步，眼看要放暑假了，老师说学校有“Summer School",我问了一下就是给学
习比较差的孩子补习功课的那种假期班，大概5个星期左右，每周4天，每天是上午半天
。老师跟我说这个班很有好处，因为孩子少，所以老师关注度高，对每个孩子的问题也
有针对性。
请问各位家长：
1、有谁家的孩子上过“Summer School"吗，大家觉得有好处吗？
2、在美国当地上假期补习班的孩子都是什么样的孩子呀，是特别淘气，或者特别笨的
吗？

发帖数: 54 | 35 今天是不到三岁儿子去我们的健身俱乐部办的夏令营的第三周开始。下午两点去接的时
候，儿子一个人坐着似乎在画画，看见我也不过来。我过去，他不让我碰他的右胳膊，
很可怜的说胳膊疼。我马上发现胳膊肘处肿胀。讯问teachers，没人注意到这个，有人
说他在11点左右的公园里玩时摔了一下，然后他没事了。我马上联系summer camp的负
责人，要求一个事故报告。
我带儿子去了急诊，两个小时以后，医生诊断说他的上臂接近肘部骨裂（minimally
displaced supracondylar fracture with moderate sized elbow joint effusion）
。下面我们需要带儿子见othopaedic doctor打石膏和复查，大概要4-6星期才能拆。
医生说这种伤常见于小孩从较高处摔下，但小孩应马上感到疼痛并不能活动。而summer
camp老师说儿子摔了以后还和别的孩子一块游泳和吃午饭。我们的疑问有（1）究竟什
么造成骨折；（2）如是在公园里摔跤造成的，我能马上发现并判断须去医院的情况在
三小时内竟然无人察觉。想起来儿子真是可怜。

tanks with shorts better than dresses? As she will go to daycare playground

朋友，只能上网瞎找，可是找了3天了，还是没啥头绪。要么就是太贵，离得近summer
camp太贵，一周400左右；要么就是教会办的，老公又不想送有宗教背景的。因为小宝
才一岁，我接送都要带着他，也不能找太远的。因为现在住在公司给的临时住处，还不
知道之后住到哪里，所以也不能找pre-K的program上。大宝现在精力旺盛的不得了，天
天跟我在家我也真是耗不起，想赶紧把他白天送出去。真是头疼啊。。。

program。离家不远还有另外一个Chinese开的preschool有6月底到8月底的summer
program,看了觉得也还不错，于是交了registration fee占了个茅坑，现在很纠结到底
是上还是不上。
想上的原因：
1、1周上3天，8:30am-1pm,午饭后再接，让她早点适应集体生活；养成自己吃饭的习惯
，在家她总是要老太太或者我喂，出去外面餐厅吃她从来都是自己吃；
2、我自己可以有个break,运动、减肥一下什么的；
3、多认识Chinese的同学
不想上的原因：
1、上2个月刚适应环境就换学校，从头开始适应，还不如直接等到fall去既定的学校？
2、director和老师知道你就呆两个月，会不会对孩子没有耐心或不好？（我比较阴暗
，轻拍）。
3、8点半开始太早了，晚上还得老起来照看小的，怕起不来。
4、Fall也去这个学校不在我考虑的范围。 |

接送，结果有个gift summer program要学校里的学习成绩，更奇葩的是，还要成绩一
定超过90 percentile。我娃不争气的是，成绩就是低于90th,我钱都交了，还有别人本
来只想上半天，我说服他们上全天的，结果我的娃进不去，他们的娃都进去了，我太郁
闷了。今天问老师能否给儿子给次机会重新测试一下，老师说争取一下，真不知道怎么
