发帖数: 1235 | 3 秋天REI的sale中买了一双MSR的snowshoe, 最近几个星期雪大得很, 忍不住去走了几迈
还比较安全的trail. 和tubbs相比，MSR lightening的抓地显然要强不少，frame上的
牙齿起到了非常好的作用，上下坡和traverse的时候不象Tubbs容易打滑．但一但脚没
放好，snowshoe踩到一起就容易摔跟头，Tubbs那种中空的圆管frame在这上还比较
forgive一点．

1. Mt. Timpanogos (两次, 一次从American fork上, 一次从Sundance 这边的Aspen
groove上). SLC的XDJM如果有兴趣,我可以带队上, 我已经summit 4 times, 2 more
times to stop at Emerald lake (peak 11749ft, 全程14~16迈, elevation gain
4600~4900ft)
2. Mt. Nebo (Wasatch 南面的最高点, 11928ft)
3. lone peak (11253ft, 一般认为这是local最demanding的hike, include scramble
4. Pfeifferhorn (11326ft) 离SLC近, 可以版聚一次. |

发帖数: 1235 | 7 周日下午直奔sundance, 上了后山的arrowhead lift, 开始头几个run还觉得风有点大,
到了后来正在chair 上风速巨增,夹杂着吹起来的雪打在脸上好象沙子打在脸上一样生
疼, 一会儿就看不见前面两个chair远的地方. 还好有face mask, helmet, goggle的全
副武装.
cable 连带我们坐着的chair 开始跳舞, 又没有可以拉下来的protection bar, 只好手
紧紧抓着椅子背,祈祷cable千万别断了或拖轨了. gust wind可能超过了50mph,lift的
速度一下就放慢了. 好不容易挨到了山顶赶快下来, 又一阵风过来, 几乎要把人吹倒.
一会儿, lift 放完人就关了, 只好到low mountain 滑了. 比较恐怖. 我见过风最大的
一次. |

发帖数: 1837 | 11 这周收到板斧YF2006老大的召唤,去爬了向往已久的Mt.Timpanogos. Mt.Timpanogos高
11749尺,是犹他第二高峰.因为登顶路线的难度不高,又离周围的城市特别是BYU很近,
Timpanogos号称是犹他最热门的Trail之一. 上Timpanogos有两条主要的线路,我们这次
选的是从Aspen Grove Trailhead出发.这条线路全长大约15麦,上升5000尺. 另外一条
线路从更高一点的Timpanooke Trailhead开始,少了400尺的上升但是往返长度要增加2
个麦.
为了避开周末的人潮，我们决定趁早出发。早晨5点从家里出来的时候四周还是漆黑一
片。一路开到Provo Canyon，在路过Sundance的时候还碰到了一只早起的小鹿。还好它
没站在路中央不动，看了我们两眼就走了，估计它对汽车已经见怪不怪了。到了
Trailhead和FY2006他们3个人会和，这时停车场里已经停了很多车了,还可以看到头灯
闪闪,看来早起的人还不少.
我们6:30开始爬山的时候天空已经隐隐发亮：
前一个小时基本是在黑暗里走，还好路线很明显，最开始的一段还铺 |

fly fishing的伙计们收获不错。
又从deer creek沿provo river钓到jordannel，总算把SLC周围几个hot spot探明了。
沿途风景的确不错。

的车坐三个, 就明显走不动了, 每次去Alta/snowbird, 车都被人顶着屁股开...后面压

些小百姓关系不大。热门电影的票都不是随便买得到。而且那段时间Park City拥挤不
堪，对于不追星的我们躲开还来不及。
如果要看小制作独立电影，slc film society 在broadway和900上的两个影院都有挺好
的选择。 |
