你说的是优化理论(optimization theory)啊，local/global extrema, Lagrange
Multiplier, Kuhn-Tucker
Theorem等等的，这个我学过的，一元变量，多元变量，linear, non-linear
programming, constrained, non-constrained, 基本上都学完了(呵呵，不过一些专有名
词都已经忘了//）呵呵，不过可能是初步的吧，用的课本是Alpha Chiang的Fundemental
Methods of Mathematical Economics还有Sundaram的A first course of optimizaiton
theory
而我原来的帖子是说得是均衡理论（Equilibrium Theory）和优化理论相关，但是重要的
不是极值而是变化，可能我原来的帖子说的不清楚吧，举个例子，譬如我说得self-enfor
cing equlibrium, ( y=x^2),是一个U型的曲线，在这个曲线里，你放入一个小 |

你学过这些的话就好办了, 我手头就有那本Sundaram的教材, 自己修过一次,
教过另外一个人一次, 呵呵.
一个也许over simplify了的想法: 你说的是当 自变量从0 变化到 0+dx的时候,
函数本身的值是不是肯定向上增加? 这个就是局部极小值的定义亚 :)
局部最小值大概就是你说的什么稳定性吧? 这样子有整套理论确定一个函数的
临界点是不是局部最小值. 全局最小值的方法类似.
复杂的想法:
y=x^2本身是个定常的曲线, 它没有"运动". 你说的模型我想是假定了重力, 以时间
为一个参量的动力系统吧? 那样的动力系统必须由微分方程来描述, 不过如果你
不引入摩擦力, 得到的解将是一个周期解, 这个东西叫做极限环. 如果考虑摩擦力,
则这个系统当然只有一个稳定的临界点, 就是原点了.
具体一点, 你所描述的这个体系的微分方程是这样的:
因为y=x^2, 所以只需要一个变量x就行了:
d^2x/dt^2 = -g*2x*(1-1/(1+4x^2))+ k*sqrt(1+4x^2)*dx/dt
后面那个带k 的项是空气阻力, 也是使得你的系统没有极 |

嗯，Sundaram那本书挺不错的，不过刚开始有些难，因为他引入了实空间(real space)等
概念，而我们原来学的东西还局限在real line，(呵呵，大学四年学校居然不开高等数学
，所以很多东西还停留在高中的基础上，见笑了：）不过幸好高中时候参加物理奥赛和数
学奥赛集训的时候多少讲了些高数，现在还依稀记得一些剩饭：（）不过用线代解最优化
问题是比普通代数要方便些（呵呵，当然最方便的是Matlab里的optimization toolbox:)
