Nearly three months into the year, it appears the GOP field of presidential
candidates is narrowing. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and former Alaska

不过，我并不认同LIA对Lofgren说法的理解。
从过去几年的国会活动来看，共和党从来不是职业移民的阻力所在，相反，倒是有几个
共和党人在不遗余力地推动职业移民，比如说Senate里的德州的Cornyn，夏威夷的
Sununu，House里的Lamar Smith，这些人在过去的几年时间里不断地推出职业移民改革
法案，值得一提的是，今年，Cornyn面临改选，仍然在前几天联合了几个人提出了职业
移民法案，很让人佩服。
恰恰是民主党人，在不断地阻挠职业移民改革，特别是Hispanic Caucus，以综合移民
法案为借口，绑架职业移民，导致职业移民法案不断流产，连续三年，没有任何进展。
从历史上来看，民主党人也都是支持亲属移民，反对职业移民的，从Obama和Hillary的
竞选活动就可以看出来。从Lofgren的谈话来看，她把责任推到了共和党身上，实在是
荒谬无比。
希望LIA在和国会议员联系的时候，要丢掉幻想，不要因为前一段时间Lofgren曾经支持
了职业移民就相信她说的话。从改选国会议员的角度来看，决不能因为这个谈话 |
