Snowbird and Solitude. They are all good. We booked our hotel and lift

The 4th day is free if you buy 3-day superpass and some hotels throw a 4th

Yes, tax is about $70, so total for 4 nights come out to be $670.
I booked on 12/30 to 01/04, and was able to find the same deal for X'mas,
MLK, president day holidays, etc.
Is car necessary for a ski trip in SLC? Superpass includes free ski bus, was
that useful?
How much is a motel normally run during holidays per night? Do they offer
superpass in their package ($180 4days)?

发帖数: 436 | 19 Just got back from SLC yesterday. We didn't see a flake of snow the whole
week but still it was a blast! The snow is crusty in the morning but it
softens by noon and you can carve on it pretty well - no ice at all. The
last day (3/16) we went to Snowbird, the temp is about 57 degrees, the snow
becomes a little slushy but still fun to carve. We went to Brighton,
Solitude, Snowbird, Powder Mountain and the Canyons. Got superpass from the
Hilton we were staying but you can get discount lift tickets |

go - I mean, since we are getting the superpass anyway. The snowboarder
will be leaving with my group on 22, so Alta is another possibility as well.
It's good to have that flexibility of the tickets.
Last time I went to Utah I brought 2 digital cameras with me skiing - a big
Canon SLR with nice lens, and a pocket Fujifilm (good quality thou). In a 5
day trip I took out the Canon only ONCE. It's simply too inconveni |

Vail next season for sure. And will most likely go to Utah as well if I can
manage to find time.
Somebody mentioned SuperPass, do you know much about it?
It is little disheartening that I am planning for the next season, while you
guys are still enjoying the great powder, jealous... :(

There is no cheap tickets when the real season starts. The superpass qmc
talked about is the best deal at the time - better than you can buy from any
outlet in SLC.
The link has $40 for Snowbird but "pre-season before 12/24/09!

qmc is the undisbuted traveling/skiing/shopping/managing/partying pro.
Snowbird, Alta(no snowborading), Solitude are highly recommended and they
should all be on the superpass, including also Brighton. All are within
30min drving from SLC. |

on your level, Brighton is more family place. Alta(no boarders), Snowbird,
Solitude are all close and good for intermediate to advanced.
Park City area including Park City, The Canyons, and Dear Valley are for
high rollers, generally with less snow and more expensive than the four
Wasatch Front resorts mentioned.
qmc or other skied Utah before can tell you how to buy SuperPass. You can

Cottonwood Canyon like Midvale or Sandy. There are lots of hotels/motels to
chose and parking is mostly likely free. Last year we paid $80/night for one
-bedroom suite at Candlewood suite. For lift ticket, Salt Lake Super Pass
may save you some money.
