这是我在visajourney上发现的一个前任的移民官、今年的申请者写的贴子，他在2003
年曾在NVC工作了近一年，后来调到了其他政府部门，2006年他在基辅偶然遇到了他的
爱人，于是在2007年2月开始了他的K1申请。真是风水轮流转啊，赫赫。
他的贴子比较多，也比较乱，基本上是回答别人的提问。英文好的姐妹可以自己去看一
下，或者让GG/LG去学习学习。
我觉得里边还是有一些有用的信息，所以整理并翻译了一下，供大家参考。我试图按照
他的散乱的贴子，把USCIS处理的流程大致描绘出来，如果有不准确的地方请大家指正

附带补充joan d'arc的来源，我以前一直不知道of arc是什么意思，刚查出来原来是她
的姓。不过又说这是后来的人给她加上的；当时的风俗其实是以母姓为姓。
Joan's father, Jacques d'Arc, was born in 1375, in the small town of
Ceffonds, Champaign, France. He migrated to Domremy where he married
Isabelle Romée.
Many historians believe that Jacques' ancestors came from the village of "
Arc-en-Barrois" and this the origin of his surname 'd'Arc.'
Joan NEVER used her father's surname, it was only many years after her death
