Actual purchasing power is close to, or even pass, that of the USA. People
average does not too matter when comparing the power of countries. With RMB
appreciating, the GDP gap will quickly narrows between China and USA.
In many areas, Chinese military industry is already better than Russia.
I agree that USA graduate education is the best in the world, but do you see
how many foreigners in the program? Once the USA is not as rich as before,
many scientists/engineers will leave the USA.

(ii) the entire year up 10.3%.
(b) On Jan 31, 2011 Taiwan released its set of real growth rate
(i) 4Q10 up 6.48%, and

(a) "The word "real" means subtracting inflation from "nominal."
(b) 4Q10 data ended the streak of Taiwan's quarterly GDP growth rate over
