标 题: 加州，驾照被suspended，是不是保险也可以停掉？

如题。9月才可以继续开车。我想，是不是可以把车子卖了？现在停在朋友家不动。保
养没做，车胎也没换。是不是放着4个月也没什么关系？
那我的保险是不是也可以停掉，然后买个non owner的险，这样子一年才100多块。但是
记得说，加州的保险会大涨，如果你中断一个gap的话。有人去澳大利亚旅游，结果中
断了2个月，结果大涨保险的。有听说这种case么？ |

跟他们说明一下，可能是renew之后数据库没有更新。
我也是10月份的时候更新的，但是之后买保险的时候agent发现驾照被suspended了。
他跟我说如果我没问题就是dps的问题，本人去dps说明下他们打个电话就ok了，最好带
着你的材料和当时renew时的receipt。 |

查。
dps系统里不给你更新状态，警察查的当然也是suspend啊。当时我的agent就催我赶紧
去改，说万一被警察pull over了也得花时间解释。 |

I did not do any fancy changes, just a straight install from CD.
I press "suspend", then the machine goes to sleep, but after I press the
power button, only the LED power light and wifi power LED goes on, and the
screen does not light up, I can hear the CPU fan coming up too. pressing
the keyboard (ctrl+alt+break, for example) does not have any effect.
anybody got this working?
