美国有“总统”吗？——令人尴尬的误译

摘要
学习和借鉴美国法律和法律文化，对中国现代化建设是非常重要的。但是，扭曲的翻译
，可能会带来事倍功半的结果。前述“国务卿”、“白宫”、“总统”一类的翻译词汇
，给人的感觉是：民主国家的领导人同帝王一样，有宫殿，有“爱卿”，可以“总而统
之”。这不利于中国人对民主法治的理解，会在无形中阻碍民主法制建设。为了防止翻
译中的文化扭曲，必须用民主、法治的心态翻译来自美国的法律词汇，不能以专制独裁
的心态对待这些法律词汇。
美国有没有“总统”，这难道也是一个问题吗？是的，这的确是个问题。在美国的政治
法律词汇中，其实并没有“总统”这一概念。中国人之所以说美国有“总统”，其实是
误译造成的。类似的误译还有“白宫”、“国务卿”、“州”，等等。

先说说自己情况：
一家三口 女儿2月大，在美国生的。 我和我老婆都是OPT。
一个工作是加拿大，可以给办身份。
一个工作是回苏州，就是彻底海归了。
待遇的话差不多 都是4万美元的样子。
工作的话性质也差不多。老婆暂时不工作，等小孩大些再找.
本人没有去过加拿大，据说养老啊 保障挺好，深深纠结！
求达人给建议， 从长远来看给分析分析到底是选那个比较好些！
