college in the US, a lot of my classmates were from poor immigrant families
in chinatown, their parents work in restaurants and sweatshops, they also
went to high schools in so-called "bad" school district... but if they had
in them, nothing would stop them from getting into the best. If they didn't
have it, then no matter where they go they would still not do well.. |

My ex-boss was a black person from Chicago. His family is wealthy and he
attended Phillips Academy, Dartmouth College, and then MBA from U of Chicago
.
There are many Asian kids whose parents work in restaurants and sweatshops
with very lower pay, 3-generations of the family cramped in a small 1
bedroom flat.
The college admission should really be decided on family income and social/
economic background, instead of race.

视。说实话大部分华人的工作只能算作white collar sweatshop,都是属于被剥削的阶
级。
第二是已经成功的一定要愿意去mentor新人,这点跟中国传统文化“留一手”不同。万
事达卡,百事可乐,Adobe,摩托罗拉,等等,多少公司的CXO是印度人。他们在这些公
司已经提拔了很多中层领导。逐渐往下发展,印度人越来越多。而反观有些华人即使当
上了CEO,跟本不愿意提拔其他华人。
华人在美国整体要是想有出路的话,第一,要让华人全面进入各行各业主流公司高层;
第二,要培养华人entrepreneurship,自己创新。不做到这两点,我们的孩子还有孩子
的孩子,即使是好学区牛校常春藤毕业,以后也只能做印度老板手下的高级打工仔。 |

fact, it doesn't matter which one you go, the actual suits are all made in
large sweatshops running around the clock in the suburb. Usually, the head
tailor sits in the shop during the day and takes measurements for the
customers. Then the orders are taken back to the factories during the night
when the actual work is done.

wage it's around 9 bucks. and believe it aint easy work...u work almost
nonstop...
the only good thing is they pay for food and shelter.
i dont know, right now i dont have option other than sweatshop restaurant.
except there are couple chop shop brokers calling me in wanting me to sell
pple penny stock in boiler room style. basically trying to scam ignorant
senior pple... i cant do that.... |

多时候都是个跟屁一样的梦。当心被骗的血本无归。到时候回家看着小孩发呆,万一想
不开全家集体吃9宝饭。就是8宝饭的基础上+老鼠药。还得是上海国营企业生产的。
国内企业家90%都是农民出身。农村的支书有多坏,基本上企业家就有多坏。都是以票
人。你不要出来混了几年,就低估了农民的狠。农民,尤其是浙江的农民,跟他们讲信
用根本没用。当初北伐跑上海,根本打不过城里的驻军。结果周恩来领导了3次工人武

After gross margins rebounded at Foxconn parent company Hon Hai Precision,
one analyst has said he believes Apple "stepped up" and helped to pay for
wage increases at its manufacturing partner.
